removing the sources

Hi, can I ask why you removing the sources from Amber Martinez's article?!! 212.47.220.173 (talk) 15:42, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

As I repeatedly explained to you and your cohors, WP:ELNO and you are not permitted to remove the maintenance tags. If you continue, I will request a block. Praxidicae (talk) 15:43, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
@Praxidicae: ok but why you removing the sources?! should I report you to the admins? 212.47.220.173 (talk) 15:44, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
Yes, you should definitely report me to the admins. Praxidicae (talk) 15:45, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
of course I will report you for vandalism, and it's better for you to do your own bussiness!!!212.47.220.173 (talk) 15:46, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
Perhaps you should actually read what I wrote in my multiple edit summaries before you go whining to admins about my appropriate removal of your inappropriate external links and blatantly fake/fabricated sources. But you do you, friendo. Praxidicae (talk) 15:48, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
that is what you think and isn't fact! how the source from "Youm7" can be fake? it's better to research more before take a any action. 212.47.220.173 (talk) 15:51, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
@Praxidicae: last 3 sources which I added was rellay from rich sources and you should research more about that.212.47.220.173 (talk) 15:53, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
You should learn to read the relevant policies I've already linked to you and your "friends" who are now blocked. Please kindly go away now. Praxidicae (talk) 15:54, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

Market of Choice

Greetings, Praxidicae! Could you take a look at this page (Market of Choice)? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Market_of_Choice

I found it very problematic for blatant advertising (see sections "Local recognition" and "Environmental Sustainability" According to the sources and information on the page, the chain is very small located in less than 5 cities (10 supermarkets altogether), so I don't even know if it qualifies for a "chain" and has any notability or value for Wikipedia readers. I believe it should be either substantially cut or submitted for deletion discussion. It was created long time ago when Wikipedia standards were lower and less clear. --2601:1C0:CB01:2660:C3F:46ED:C254:50EF (talk) 05:53, 16 November 2020 (UTC)

Market America

Hi User:Praxidicae

You reverted my edits on Market America. I did not just make the update because I felt so. I spent time to read more about the company. I also left an explanation on the Talk page before doing so.

I've gone through the website of Market America on this link https://www.marketamerica.com/site/company It states:

Founded in 1992, Market America Worldwide is a product brokerage and internet marketing company that specializes in One-to-One Marketing and Social Shopping. The company provides a system for entrepreneurs to supplement their income, while providing consumers a better way to shop.

The above is also supported by 3rd party sources like INC Magazine on this link:

https://www.inc.com/profile/market-america and

Direct Selling News resource on this link:

https://www.directsellingnews.com/dsn-announces-the-2019-global-100/

There's a big difference between MLM and Direct Selling.

Multilevel marketing (MLM) is a strategy that some direct sales companies use to encourage existing distributors to recruit new distributors

Direct selling is selling products directly to consumers in a non-retail environment.

We even have the descriptions on Eng wikipedia See Multi-level marketing and Direct selling.

I hope you understand the differences now. I crave your indulgence to see the difference. I am therefore making the changes again as I had it explained on the Talk page.

If I discover truly that the company is an MLM, then, there's no need updating the page. I only updated because I saw valid proofs from the company's websites and from INC, Direct Selling News and other resources.

Thanks for your understanding. Estarosmārṭ (talk) 19:37, 17 November 2020 (UTC)

As per my edit summary, no one cares what a subject says about themselves - those profiles are from them directly or generated by press releases. Of course a MLM isn't going to call itself an MLM for the same reason a cult isn't going to advertise it's a cult. It's almost as if you didn't bother to read the existing sources or you know, the talk page. Praxidicae (talk) 19:38, 17 November 2020 (UTC)

In regards of Ian Jeffrey

I cited at least 10 references. While there hasn't been too much recognition from "reliable, independent sources," the subject has collectively been discussed in numerous articles, some from well-known mainstream outlets. Not to mention there are plenty of articles (_,_,_, _, _) (just to name a few) that have no citations, or barely any citations, if any, from mostly sources that would otherwise be considered "unreliable." I'd understand if the article needed a few corrections or cleanups, but if anything, I think I put too many citations. If I am wrong, please let me know what else to do. I mean no harm by writing this message, and hope everything can be worked out. Thank you for your understanding. TrevortniDesserpedx (talk) 16:25, 18 November 2020 (UTC)

You can cite links out the wazoo but if they're unreliable, you may as well have cited nothing. The rest are also just gossip. Praxidicae (talk) 16:32, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
Does it matter whether they're unreliable or not? TrevortniDesserpedx (talk) 01:35, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
I believe I literally just explained that. Praxidicae (talk) 03:37, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
Well, as I looked deeper into the history of the article, it looks like somebody removed all the 'invalid REFs,' and kept 6 of the original ones, which they consider to be reliable. If the references currently on the page are also unreliable, why didn't they just remove all of them? As I said, 6 is still better than nothing. There are countless pages on the site that have very few references, or references that are entirely from non-mainstream sources, or some even both, that have not been removed as of now. The subject is pretty notable, it's at least certainly more notable than one of the other pages I previously made, having been covered on many websites, and having been associated with some celebrities such as James Charles and Loren Gray. All due respect, TrevortniDesserpedx (talk) 07:24, 19 November 2020 (UTC)

Hello

The reason I added that link was that the link was already routed to its renewed version. For me it has no value, I just wanted to save wikipedia from a redirect link. It is not very important to change it if you want. Also, that link does not belong to me and I did not add it for advertising. Sorry for my bad english. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Recepbayoglu (talkcontribs) 10:51, 19 November 2020 (UTC)

Hello

I can clean up the sources but I do not believe the current list is up to date or accurately reflects the ongoing nature of this event, the seriousness of what is being attempted, and the high amount of disinformation being put out by the individuals involved. Thank you for your support of Wikipedia I admit I am reckless newb.

Comments about the article Draft:Gloss_Network

Hello, with respect, I do not find it very constructive for you to decline a submission with the comment "paid for black hat SEO". I am not paid to do anything on Wikipedia, I do it because I like the community. I nearly have 600 edits on here so I'm not some bot trying to get paid for creating some page on a D list Indian celebrity. I see from your other work that you use this same comment to deny countless other submissions, so urge you to supply the wikipedia community with more thoughtful feedback so we can actually improve our editing. I wish to still improve this article, so would appreciate a little bit more constructive feedback please :) PiratePuppy (talk) 01:46, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

Did I say you were? The sources are, but thanks for the lecture considering you can't tell a press release from an actual editorial piece! Praxidicae (talk) 01:48, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

Hello again. All you wrote in your denial of the submission was that the article was "paid for black hat SEO". I'm not sure what other assumption I was supposed to make from that comment other than you were suggesting that I was a paid editor. Anyway, it seems like we have gotten off on the wrong foot so I apologize for the tone of my first comment. I genuinely want to improve the article to the point that it can be accepted. I get that there are a few press releases in the references, and will see if other sources exist. How many editorial pieces do you usually like to see for the subject to be notable? Thanks in advance PiratePuppy (talk) 03:03, 20 November 2020 (UTC) Praxidicae can you let me know about the above as I am genuinely keen to know what admins are looking for in terms of editorial. Thanks! PiratePuppy (talk) 15:11, 21 November 2020 (UTC)

Draft:In the (D3FB) Huddle

I have explained my lack of affiliation in both the page's Talk section and elsewhere. I am not affiliated, nor am I paid. Rossif76 turned it over to me when they realized the COI was an issue, and it has been revised by both me and a reviewer since. Excess primary citations have been removed. The only citations remaining are from United States colleges/universities (RPI, Union, WPI, etc.), D3football.com (the primary information source related to Division 3 college football in the United States) and their blog site, a local daily newspaper in Upstate New York, and ESPN. These are all strong citations and are actually the subject of Wikipedia articles themselves (D3hoops.com is the basketball side of D3football.com and is included here). This article is ready for approval. BSpaTruthSquad (talk) 21:02, 21 November 2020 (UTC)

You were asked by one of the podcasters to edit it - that is a WP:COI. The article is not ready and if you continue to resubmit it, I will request a block for disruption. Further, if you make another legal threat against an editor, I will request a ban of your account - not just a block. Praxidicae (talk) 21:03, 21 November 2020 (UTC)

Re Grounding (earthing) culture

Hi Praxidicae -- I see your problems with this one, but declined the speedies because I don't think it quite fits either rationale. AC right

Hi Praxidicae, even though you self-reverted your reply to my question, it gave me worthwhile information: If they are able to move pages through being AC then it might make sense to remove that permission. But that isn't one of the groups listed at Special:ListGroupRights, is it? ◅ Sebastian 14:26, 23 November 2020 (UTC)

I don't think it'll be much use, I think a block from mainspace until they demonstrate an understanding of what is needed is probably best...but I'll leave it up to you. They've done over a hundred moves in a short time, and with them still going and not addressing the issues, it's adding to the pile that needs to be cleaned up. Also autoconfirmed is there but I'm not sure how useful revoking it will be. Praxidicae (talk) 14:27, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
I see; thank you for your reply. That goes beyond the mere technical question I had. In this case, the right place to discuss this remains ANI; I didn't mean to spread the discussion, least of all to a page with a big red blinking sign, which is unlikely to calm down emotions. ◅ Sebastian 15:10, 23 November 2020 (UTC)

Disruptive Editing

Hey!

I just saw your message about my disruptive editing. That's not my intention! I just made a new article (my first one) and I'm having trouble navigating the issue of redirecting and so forth. I really can't figure it out as you can probably tell by the editing history. Any advice?

Thanks

Go through WP:AFC instead of hijacking redirects. Praxidicae (talk) 16:12, 24 November 2020 (UTC)
Is there any way of just creating the new article outright? The article redirects to a totally unrelated company. Could that be cause for speedy deletion? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikipediamagic.123 (talkcontribs) 16:20, 24 November 2020 (UTC)

Hi Praxidicae! Thank you for reviewing my submission for the topic Kenny Bates (filmmaker). Removing Editing in Responsibility of Research Institution

Hi Prax,

I noticed that you removed a paragraph in the Responsibility of Research Institutions subsection. The editing contributed an example of efforts by a Scientific Journal to safeguard their publication ethics independent of authors research institution. It was fact-based and was written in a similar tone of a paragraph just above it. Would you elaborate more the reason of the removal? If there is a better way to write if or there is another sub-section in that page that the paragraph is better suited for, I would happy to put it over there.

Thanks!— Preceding unsigned comment added by Pethics (talkcontribs)

Removing edit from lists of Scientific Misconduct Incidents

Hi Prax,

Just read your explanation, very helpful. For the WP:BLPVIO, there are three requirements that go into it and the removed content met all three:

Neutral Point of View (the edit was written in the same tone with the rest of incidents in the list) Verifiability (it can be reliably sourced by the reference and retraction notice from Optical Society of America) No Original Research (It is the investigation from the Journal)

If there is a mis-understanding, please let me know. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Moralguard (talkcontribs) 15:55, 26 November 2020 (UTC)

Hi. I created the page for Total Freedom (Dj). The page was flagged first for a speedy deletion due to lack of notoriety. I have updated the page to include a full paragraph under their Work section which includes verified credentials of collaborations with Hood By Air, Kanye West, A$AP Rocky, and Bjork. Additionally, these points are detailed in credible sources from articles published by The New Yorker, Dazed Magazine, and Interview Magazine.

The page has been flagged again as being under-sourced. I've left a comment on the Talk page and added a comment when I re-submitted the page for review without any follow up for suggestions which leaves me a bit puzzled. Can you let me know what gaps can be bridged so we can make the page live? I appreciate your response as I'm still learning the ropes of what moderators and editors (especially, those who are unfamiliar with fashion, contemporary art, or the music industry) deem as reliable sources and/or notable figures.

Disruptive editing patterns

Please do not abuse the use of the speedy deletion nomination process. There is a reason why these tags can be contested. Furthermore, applying NPOV is critical when dealing with old and new articles alike. Bezrat (talk) 15:42, 3 December 2020 (UTC)

You don't seem to have a clue what you're talking about. WP:NPOV applies to content. It doesn't apply to the age of an article. Secondly, there is nothing disruptive about my edits. You are not qualified to assess a G4 as it requires review of the deleted version, so I suggest you stop. Praxidicae (talk) 15:43, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
Bezrat, just for some clarification, speedy deletions can be contested (i.e. on the talk page), but not all speedy deletion tags should be removed by non-admins; G4 (which requires knowledge of deleted edits) is one of those tags. Primefac (talk) 15:50, 3 December 2020 (UTC) (talk page stalker)
I do know what I'm talking about, it was a display of bias, perhaps ruining clearly wiki-eligible articles gives some people a twisted satisfaction or benefit; they certainly aren't doing the real singular Praxidice work, oh the irony. That article underwent major improvements which I personally saw. But I'm surprisingly disappointed that you deleted it Primefac as I previously had a good impression of your discretion. Would you be so kind to explain why you deleted the article (i.e. only on 4G grounds? If so, which paragraphs were too similar), or was it because of another criteria. I will tag or forward the comment to its creator so he can make a better decision moving on. Bezrat (talk) 16:54, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
Two of the three sections were nearly identical to the original, with the third being sourced by little more than "according to Investing.com" brief mentions; since this was the primary concern of the AFD, a lack of references to support that section didn't help alleviate the issue of lacking significant coverage in independent, third party sources. Primefac (talk) 17:04, 3 December 2020 (UTC)

Galadriel20, as the deleting administrator I am sympathetic, but there was pretty much nothing salvageable on the pages in question; there is no prejudice against starting over, but everything really does need to be written in your own words. Laurawallace799, if you don't mind a nosey person asking, how did you get interested in cleantech companies and personal security systems? (talk page stalker) I dream of horses (Contribs) Please notify me after replying off my talk page. Thank you. 23:39, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

Hi,I don't mind you asking at all. In fact I appreciate your efforts! I worked in the Internet space and start-up world in the first bubble. I have friends who I still chat with about cool new start-ups and also read VentureBeat and Crunchbase and other online information sites about start-ups. Right now my interests are in innovative companies that can help our planet (clean energy, recycling, world peace and kindness to each other). Israeli start-ups are hot and I have friends who tell me about cool new companies. The cleanteach and personal security companies I am editing were both Israeli start-ups and are growing. I wait until they gain funding and independent third-party news so I know they are legit and worthy of consideration for Wikipedia by passing notability standards (which I work hard to meet and take seriously). Hope this answers your question. While I have you, it appears someone other than me may have access to my account. I am unfamiliar with Wack Pack, and that page indicates I edited it (which I did not). Any insight or help you can share is appreciated. Thank you! Laurawallace799 01:19, 4 December 2020 (UTC)

Article moved to draftspace

Hey Prax, I saw you moved my article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Yahya_Qanie) back to draftspace for lack of significant notability. The works and activities of the person has been recognized by several media, however I can't cite them since they are mostly on Youtube and Twitter.

Plus, there are still number of articles on Afghan activists which are way more less cited with no relaiable sources. Such as (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rahmatullah_Hanefi) or (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hafizullah_Khaled).

Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Popalzai.diana (talkcontribs) 19:37, 4 December 2020 (UTC)

Re: Draft:Owen Prell

Regarding your "submission declined" of this article, please clarify or delete your entry.

You stated that the article is not supported by reliable sources, however the relatively short article contains 34 separate references, all from reputable and reliable citations and online media sources routinely used and relied upon by numerous Wikipedia articles.

Accordingly, please state in specific detail which citations you do you believe are reliable.

Further, you state that the article reads more like an advertisement than an entry. However, the article is a biography and neither refers to nor sells any product or service. Rather, it follows a tried and true format for biographies. Again, please utilize a neutral point of view for any suggested edits. A cursory glance at your talk page indicates many such comments on your part about drat articles, with corresponding responses from the article creator rebutting such an unsubstantiated assertion.

Finally, you state in your talk page that you are not an administrator, just an editor. In particular you state: "I'm not an administrator, I didn't delete your article and can't undelete it. I can suggest changes that might make it better though!" Accordingly, your insertion of the text in your edit to the draft to "not remove this line" and your statement that the article is "declined" is inappropriate from a fellow editor and could constitute vandalism. Please delete or provide clarification why it should not be deleted.

With respect,

Clivechat (talk) 21:24, 4 December 2020 (UTC)

Clivechat Generally making demands of good faith editors, operating within policy and accusing them of vandalism won't get you anywhere. Perhaps you should read more about WP:AFC before accusing me of vandalism. I don't have to be an administrator to decline drafts and the line removal is part of a template. Praxidicae (talk) 21:31, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
User:Clivechat - There is a myth among inexperienced editors in Wikipedia that a large number of references can take the place of a few good-quality references. Good-quality references are a necessary but not sufficient condition for acceptance of a draft. Robert McClenon (talk) 00:31, 5 December 2020 (UTC)
User:Clivechat - If you have been editing Wikipedia long enough to know what vandalism is, you have been editing Wikipedia long enough to know what is not vandalism, and you should know that yelling vandalism when there is a content dispute is a personal attack. Robert McClenon (talk) 00:31, 5 December 2020 (UTC)

Your response does not address my requests and misconstrues what I stated in my posting. To repeat, I made a simple request, not a demand, for specificity on any citation you might deem non-reliable. You have not done so. Further, I pointed out that you state in your own talk page that you don't have the authority to decline drafts, and merely stated that such action might be construed as vandalism. This is quite different from an accusation of vandalism. I respectfully invited you clarify your authority to decline a draft. To be crystal clear, are you stating that any Wikipedia editor, regardless of experience, has the sole and unfettered authority to decline a new article submission without providing objective reasons for doing so? Please also note that Wikipedia depends on cordiality among editors and I signed my post to you "respectfully." I would appreciate a reciprocal level of cordiality and respect. Clivechat (talk) 21:43, 4 December 2020 (UTC)

User:Clivechat - Signing your draft "respectfully" is not a substitute for being respectful to a reviewer, and you have insulted and been rude to a reviewer. That is not useful. Robert McClenon (talk) 00:31, 5 December 2020 (UTC)
I am under no obligation to give you a source by source analysis. Nor am I committing acts of vandalism as you so rudely implied. Perhaps rethink your tone, stop wikilawyering and you might get a better response. If you feel that it's suitable, resubmit it and you'll get a different reviewer. And finally, there isn o requirement for an administrator to review drafts, any approved user may do so as per WP:AFC, so your reading of my talk page is 100% incorrect Praxidicae (talk) 21:46, 4 December 2020 (UTC)

Interesting. I was wondering who this user was, who was moving drafts to article space without enough experience to be a regular reviewer, and so did not have the script enabled. Thank you for moving them back to draft space. Robert McClenon (talk) 00:33, 5 December 2020 (UTC)

For reference, https://github.com/GeneralNotability/spihelper/issues/9 has been filed to allow spihelper to detect if the user is blocked for the purposes of the tags placed. The changes themselves are correct, though it is generally best that tags are left to CUs/clerks/admins (especially if the changes to be made are not discussed). Followup to an MFD

Regarding this, another editor spotted this. I spotted this and this. The last to are probably quasi-high-profile individuals locally, but I'm 99% sure they fail WP:N.

I recommend putting all 3 up for MFD. For that matter, I'd support putting up all of the other hopelessly-not-WP:N drafts started by the same editor rather than waiting for G13 to clear them out.[1]

The only reason I haven't is 1) I wanted to get a second opinion, and 2) going on a purge like this feels very WP:BITEy, I know I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of it. I do admire the editor's desire to support both Wikipedia and his local community. It's just this isn't a good way to do either. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 00:53, 7 December 2020 (UTC)

Tyrone Evans Clark page is doesn't serve to promote or pulicise a product or person.

Dear Praxidicae,

I've done some research on Tyrone Evans Clark and he is legit.

This young man has tons of articles and factual information on him.

So far he checks out and honestly by the looks of it based on the content that is publicly available to everyone on the web, there really isn't any reason why this page should be taken down.

Also if you google "Tyrone Evans Clark" you will see what I am talking about.

He meets the criteria and everything about him that is factual isn't even addressed on this page.

So please remove this error message that you placed on the page: "This article may meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion because in its current form it serves only to promote or publicise an entity, person, product, or idea, and would require a fundamental rewrite in order to become encyclopedic..."

Thanks!

Regarding Tyrone Evans Clark' Page - I just saw your message!

My apologies, I didn't see your note regarding this page.

Line 1:

{{short description| American author, video game designer and entertainer}}

You suggested shorting the number of job titles, for example, we know Oprah has done a lot of things, but on Wiki, we might just give her 3 or 4 titles not 10 because it sounds like a promotion or something.

I understand now and I just noticed on other pages that just about everyone has 3 to 4 job titles... not 10 or more.

I also noticed bullet points are perfect for describing a list of things, for example:

Music . Pop . Jazz . Soul

Thanks!

Hello Praxidicae,

Greetings.

Thank you for taking time to review my wikipedia article titled, "Jeff Okoroafor", https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Jeff_Okoroafor. I took interest in the topic because of the role the individual has played in Nigeria around good governance and social accountability advocacy. I thought it was going to be an easy topic until wikipedia started marking down certain things and since then its been a long jump for me. I had a chat with some experienced editors and they pointed to the "Early life" section. I had to take it down since I couldn't find an authoritative source. I have resubmitted it for review. Can you please take a look and help where necessary? I took a lot of time researching this topic and don't want my effort to be wasted.

Let me pleas know what you think

This may turn out to be db-g8'able, and yes, it is currently written in a promotional tone, but I think it's possibly salvageable if the enough of the references that do provide in-depth coverage turn out to be anything other than promotional material. I put a note on the talk page to that effect.

In any case, I removed the speedy deletion. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 17:07, 8 December 2020 (UTC)

I think it's best you leave it to an admin who is qualified to assess it given it's a recreation of a paid for sock farm. You also should probably review WP:G8. Praxidicae (talk) 17:07, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
Boy I don't know why I said G8 instead of G5, can I blame it on lack of caffeine? No, I can't. That's on me. As for waiting for an admin, that's also on me: I didn't check your user-rights history except to see that you aren't an admin until now. Had I done so, I would have known you have deep experience at SPI and you have a user-right that lets you see some things not available to the rest of us. New Page Patrol December Newsletter

Hello Praxidicae,

A chart of the 2020 New Page Patrol Queue

Year in review

It has been a productive year for New Page Patrol as we've roughly cut the size of the New Page Patrol queue in half this year. We have been fortunate to have a lot of great work done by Rosguill who was the reviewer of the most pages and redirects this past year. Thanks and credit go to JTtheOG and Onel5969 who join Rosguill in repeating in the top 10 from last year. Thanks to John B123, Hughesdarren, and Mccapra who all got the NPR permission this year and joined the top 10. Also new to the top ten is DannyS712 bot III, programmed by DannyS712 which has helped to dramatically reduce the number of redirects that have needed human patrolling by patrolling certain types of redirects (e.g. for differences in accents) and by also patrolling editors who are on on the redirect whitelist.

Reviewer of the Year

John B123 has been named reviewer of the year for 2020. John has held the permission for just over 6 months and in that time has helped cut into the queue by reviewing more than 18,000 articles. His talk page shows his efforts to communicate with users, upholding NPP's goal of nurturing new users and quality over quantity.

NPP Technical Achievement Award

As a special recognition and thank you DannyS712 has been awarded the first NPP Technical Achievement Award. His work programming the bot has helped us patrol redirects tremendously - more than 60,000 redirects this past year. This has been a large contribution to New Page Patrol and definitely is worthy of recognition.

Apology

I was informed that my comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Marcus Patterson may have had a role in your retirement notice. If that is so, I wish to apologize for any offense that may have been taken and, further, to encourage you to reconsider. While I reached a different conclusion at the AfD, it is abundantly clear that your nomination was made in good faith and raised important issues with respect to paid coverage. I share your distaste for paid coverage and had no idea that Yahoo! News had been infected by this scourge. I appreciate your efforts in diligently bringing these issues to the fore.

Your continued participation here is far, far more important than a border-line article on Marcus Patterson. Accordingly, and in hopes that it will reflect my sincere belief that your continued participation is vitally important to Wikipedia, I am striking my "Keep" vote (indeed, all of my comments) from that discussion. Yadvendradev Vikramsinh Jhala

Hi Praxidicae,

This is regarding [2] article that you have just recommended for speedy deletion. Firstly, I must thank you for putting the time to review the article. Although I have contested the move with due explanation, I thought I must inform you personally about what the page is all about as well. This page is not about any commercial benefits being accrued to the person in question. It is an informative piece created by academicians (students of Prof. Y.V. Jhala) on a very important scientist and academic mentor who has trained thosands of researchers and wildlife professionals across the world and whose contribution to the ecological science and conservation biology needs to be out there. The page has been created since he is about to retire from his formal academic career and post that it will be very difficult to collate all the information later. There is zero conflict of interest or commercial or promotional gains intended out of this. It also adheres to all the BLP guidelines. Hope you understand. Thanks again! --Wildliferesearcher (talk) 19:35, 9 January 2021 (UTC)

Can't you check the sources that have been cited in the edits rather than simply undoing the edits? All the info is verifiable from credible sources just as the WP guidelines suggest. Given your criteria for judgment, everything factually coorect but positive ever written on wikipedia about any person, no matter how well known and whatever number of credible citations, would sound promotional. Since, there are neutral and credible sources cited for the info given, how does the COI matter? Thouse sources aren't owned by me. Could you please take a look at them before undoing anything? Thanks. --Wildliferesearcher (talk) 02:28, 12 January 2021 (UTC)

In my opinion, AfD comments / posts should not be removed or edited (unless for minor formatting changes or reverting vandalism), but if it is unrelated to the discussion of content, they could be hidden or sectioned off. It seems that CaptainEek agrees with your removal of the "personal attack", so I won't press this any further. Natg 19 (talk) 21:37, 12 January 2021 (UTC)

Hi there, You rightfully redirected a biography article about Varshini Prakash to the Sunrise Movement article in 2019 for being promotional and not rooted in an appropriate claim for notability. Since then, there's a better argument to be made for Prakash's independent notability, as she has been named on the TIME 100 Next list and has received independent coverage from reliable publications in which she is not just quoted, but is the subject. I just did lots of hours to research and make my first edit as good as possible. But I see you have reverted everything. Could you explain me why? I can not wait to learn more on making and editing pages.

Sincerely yours, Daniel — Preceding unsigned comment added by Verlaan21 (talkcontribs) 23:49, 14 January 2021 (UTC)

(talk page watcher) Verlaan21, would you care to comment on your relationship to Roel Oosterwijk and Roel999? GeneralNotability (talk) 02:47, 15 January 2021 (UTC)

GeneralNotability,I am a dutch news reporter who has seen Roel grow. I do not know him personally nor I get paid. I am new to Wikipedia and want to learn more. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Verlaan21 (talkcontribs) 11:55, 15 January 2021 (UTC)

Hi Praxidicae, Regarding your banner on Zeyan Shafiq Page.

Hi Praxidicae, I Have drafted the rough write up of the article, but it wasn't approved earlier due to bad writing style. after that an Admin(Fences And Windows) Did the clean up and posted the draft to mainspace, after that many other experienced editors edited it and made it complete with all the sources. I Had asked zeyan for some information and due to that i was asked for COI declaration, i have already done that in my talk page, and after that i have had no contact with the subject of this article, i have already wrote it in my wiki that i will be writing down regarding notable people from kashmir and i have already started gathering information about my new topic ( IAS officers from kashmir), and since i am also from kashmir doesn't mean that i might have took payment for it, before posting it directly on the page you could've made a discussion on my or page's talk page. i have had connections with the article for information only and there has been no payment exchange and any other kind of compensation. if i were to take payments i could have bragged about the creation of this article to everyone, kindly show me one place where i have bragged or advertised about the creation of this article. So you're addicted

I don't know whether to express pleasure or not... I'm glad to see you, anyway. Welcome back and happy new year! Bishonen | tålk 17:53, 7 January 2021 (UTC).

My ethical objection to the way we handle BLPs will be my downfall. But thank you for your kind words!   GRINCHIDICAE🎄 17:55, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
I'm with Bishonen, I'm not sure whether to express pleasure or not, but perhaps for a different reason since I can't read her mind. I'm happy to have you back, but if you came back because you felt "pressured" by me and others to return, I apologize for my part in the pile-on. I know from experience that WikiBreaks should last as long as they need to - and only you can decide what that means for you.
Whether you stay, go, or go and come back later is up to you. Either way, live life to its fullest and, whenever possible, spend your time doing something you enjoy. If that is Wikipedia, then I will enjoy seeing you around. If not, then I will assume you are doing something else you enjoy. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 18:18, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
I was very pleased (and relieved) to see your name on my watchlist again. We lose valuable editors all the time, but not often one who does the work of about ten ordinary mortals. Here's hoping you'll feel able to stay around for a while! Regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 18:22, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
I’m so glad she is back, if she definitely left for good, we would see UPE grow exponentially like never before. Celestina007 (talk) 19:32, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
guys. I'm joining the party. Hope Praxidicae is enjoying. Welcome back friend. I'm happy to see you back. Be here. You're one "woman" army for paid-editors. 😍 ─ The Aafī on Mobile (talk) 21:58, 15 January 2021 (UTC)
