Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Italy

This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Italy. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.

Adding a new AfD discussion
Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
  1. Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
  2. You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Italy|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
Removing a closed AfD discussion
Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
Other types of discussions
You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Italy. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
Further information
For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.

This list is also part of the larger list of deletion debates related to Europe.

AS Roma (Superleague Formula team) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)

Unnecessary WP:CFORK of teams that never was independently notable and existed solely to the short-lived series, serving to only the most ardent fans per WP:FANCRUFT as a Wikiproject taskforce was active for it. Worthy of Fandom maybe (nothing wrong with it for those who ask) but then the series has been long gone 13 years ago. WP:BEFORE search don’t turn out much other than announcements, if they still exist. Other than routine maintenances, article do not appear to be updated after 2010, indicating it's significance are pretty thin.

Also fail WP:SIGCOV as the only source only cover an announcement to a driver's signing. Like the series, nothing about it is notable either other than the team operating it. Insufficiently notable WP:GNG to help either. SpacedFarmer (talk) 08:43, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Keep - I believe that all of the SF team pages should remain, as a usual summary of the performances, regardless that the series lasted only 3-4 years. Are you suggesting that all of the A1 Grand Prix country team pages are also not notable? Officially Mr X (talk) 01:12, 17 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Also fail WP:SIGCOV as besides WP:PRIMARY and a dead link, the only sources only cover a drivers' signings, less about the team to help it to assert notability. Like the series, nothing about it is notable either other than the team operating it. Insufficiently notable WP:GNG to help either. SpacedFarmer (talk) 11:24, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Maximilian Ibrahimović (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

A youth player with no professional or even Under-19 team appearances, whose notability stems solely from being the son of Zlatan Ibrahimović. All of the coverage I could find is based almost exclusively on that. Classic case of WP:INHERITED and WP:TOOSOON. Angelo (talk) 21:16, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

2014 Acceleration at Portimão (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

Nominated for this same reason

2014 Acceleration in Assen (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
2014 Acceleration in Monza (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
2014 Acceleration at Navarra (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
2014 Acceleration at Nürburgring (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
2014 Acceleration at Slovakia Ring (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)

I appreciate this article creator's enthusiasm in the hope that Wikipedia will help to make it notable but editors should be advised of notability guidelines before creating. In this case, can it meet notability guidelines? No, unfortunately. Like everything in Acceleration 2014, nothing there meets notability guidelines.

Unneeded WP:CFORK that is solely useful to the tiniest minorities of dedicated fans, thats if they exist, and is too over reliant on WP:PRIMARY as having checked via WP:BEFORE, this brought in nothing. All the rounds are group together in this nomination for this same reason. What all those articles have in common is that they all fail WP:GNG, as well as having poor level of WP:SIGNIFICANCE and WP:EVENTCRIT, having lasted only a single season. Also, WP:NOSTATS and WP:NSPORTSEVENT, having being a racing series by anybody other than the most ardent fans who may come and fight for a keep vote. I am also nominating these as they have the same issues as mentioned below.

Acceleration Team France (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
Acceleration Team Germany (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)

Acceleration Team Slovakia (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
Acceleration Team Spain (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
Acceleration Team Sweden (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
Acceleration Team Venezuela (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)

Unnecessary WP:CFORK per WP:FANCRUFT. Worthy of Fandom maybe (nothing wrong with it for those who ask) but then the series has been long gone 10 years ago.

Also fail WP:NTEAM and WP:SIGCOV as sources primarily consists of WP:PRIMARY and the tidbits of social media posts. Fails WP:GNG. The same issues applies to all the articles nominated as they have the same issues in common. SpacedFarmer (talk) 09:16, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

International Trotskyist Opposition (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)

Redirect/Merge with Workers' Communist Party (Italy). Wellington Bay (talk) 18:35, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am discussing comrade with the Workers' Communist Party of Italy and have contacts with the ITO, I have made the page for the simple reason being there is no existing page currently, I am being targeted by members seemingly part of the ISA. Jamesation (talk) 20:00, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please see Wikipedia's No Original Research policy. Wellington Bay (talk) 21:06, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Merge to Workers' Communist Party (Italy), per WP:GNG and WP:ORG. No significant coverage in reliable secondary sources, just articles on the WCP website and blogs.

Not yet notable per WP:MUSICBIO. Her main claim to notability appears to be her collaboration with Mick Simpson, whose own notability remains unclear, but in any case on Wikipedia notability is not inherited. The only coverage I could find of her in a WP:BEFORE search is in music blogs, with no significant coverage in reliable, secondary sources. Wikishovel (talk) 05:42, 11 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The production of this artist is wide and easily verifiable on all music distribution platforms. We are not talking about self-productions but about productions of a real and recognized music label. The same streams and visions are public and demonstrate the truthfulness of what is written. Furthermore, the sources, although considered "secondary" are reliable and truthful. I believe that the request for cancellation is excessive.. 2A0D:3344:244D:4410:D521:A9AE:8355:ADEC (talk) 10:35, 11 August 2024 (UTC) 2A0D:3344:244D:4410:D521:A9AE:8355:ADEC (talk) has made few or no other edits outside this topic. Fails WP:SPORTSCRIT. Only primary sources provided. A search in google news yielded nothing. LibStar (talk) 03:54, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Keep three times Champion of Italy and has ridden in the highest possible league of speedway in Britain (equivalent to the football Premier league). Pyeongchang (talk) 10:35, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Keep as Pyeongchang pointed out. Being a double national champion, pass criteria 4 of (an overly biased towards circuit racing that is] WP:NMOTORSPORT. SpacedFarmer (talk) 20:47, 2 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
