Acanthocephala terminalis, or the leaf-footed bug,[2][3][4] is an insect in the family Coreidae.[1][5][6][7] It is found in North America.[1]

Description
The leaf-footed bug is usually around 1 1/2" long with a dark gray to black color. Their antennae have orange tips, and their hind femora have a flat, leaf-like, appearance.[2]
Sexual dimorphism
Sexual dimorphism is relatively limited, although males typically have thicker, curved hind legs and will have fewer spikes, while body size remains relatively stagnant.[3][2]
Range and habitat
Acanthocephala terminalis is usually found in the eastern half of the United States and parts of southeast Canada.[4][1][8] They will usually live in fields and the edges of forests.[4]
