About me_irl
A brief and far-from-comprehensive list of things not covered by userboxen (plural intentional!): I'm at theological college, fascinated by very many sub-fields within theology & biblical studies, but especially by liberationist and survivor-centred readings of the Apostle Paul and his epistles. I'm dilettantish w.r.t. basically everything; aside from my specialist academic fields, I love literature (anything maximalist or hyperinventive), history (of Second Temple Judaism and the Ancient Near East, of twentieth-century socialist states, of US foreign policy), critical theory (of the intersectionally feminist Marxist-Leninist variety), philosophy (of science (another, another), of religion), number theory, linguistics, film theory, music criticism, and video games as literature.
Besides all that, I bounce around a lot and spout polysyllaby really fast (if you're happy to hear it!). I have super-fluffy hair. I like people! (Very much.) I read, I learn, I teach, I tutor; I joke, often! I'm inspired in equal measure by Mr Rogers, Joan of Arc, Thomas Sankara, Poppy Cross, Vincent van Gogh, Sophie Scholl, Wade Watts, the Eleventh Doctor, Orson Welles, Bugs Bunny, Babe, and [[Over the Garden Wall|Greg from Over the Garden Wall]'. I'm probably very, very far to your left, but that doesn't mean we can't be friends, so if you're reading this, please say hello! :)
About me_wikipedia
In the past, I was pretty focused on articles related either to my sort-of-former church or my then-favourite band; I even got the latter's (still fairly wonderful) album Mezzamorphis up to Good Article status almost single-handedly, though it was de-listed in late 2009. I've been inactive for a long, long time, with minor fitful hiccoughs of well-intentioned info-splurges, but now that I'm back, ish, I'm trying to resuscitate and/or resurrect WikiProject Theology, and looking forward very much to helping make academic theology more accessible to the world outside academia!
