- There are many words with well-established spellings that include diaereses in English, like coördinate. That said, this spelling seems unsupported.--Prosfilaes 01:19, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

@8en: You split it into two senses and edited the usage notes. Yesterday, PlusUmlaut (Wonderfool) changed it to “Misspelling of -ing.”, with “Mostly used by Dutch speakers, presumably due to keyboard issues.” as the usage note. What do you think?
