There's currently a failed unit test which prevents this from being merged. Once this is fixed, I'm willing to merge it if you are sure that the proposed change is correct. (I don't know anything about the technicalities of CDD, though).

when it comes to diagnostic data in general, have you considered exporting your file to ODX and use odxtools on the exported data set?
