Extra Information Also known as Mayseder's variations on a theme from the Ballet of Nina (Nina is another name for Aline, reine de Golconde). Ferdinand Ries wrote an arrangement of these variations (ca.1823: see WorldCat, though Worldcat assumes that Dalayrac's "Nina, or The love distracted maid." is meant, not the Berton... In fact, I'm curious about this...) (As Ries died in 1838, clearly this work was first published before 1846.) Moreover, mentioned/reviewed in an 1823 issue of the Harmonicon: see here. Also however see WorldCat.
