Copiae Exercitus Unionis, Nathaniele P. Banks generali maiore duce, vim copiis intulerunt Exercitus Civitatum Confoederatarum, Thoma J. "Stonewall" Jackson generali maiore duce, prope Montem Cedri Virginiae, cum milites Confoederati iter ad Culpeper Court House fecerunt ut progressum Exercitus Unionis in Virginiam mediam praeoccuparent. Confoederati, ab acie primum paene abacti, ordinem hostium vicissim solverunt et victoriam reportaverunt. Proelium prima Expeditionis Virginiae Septentrionalis pugna fuit.
