Stability
Windows 8
- https://crash-analysis.mozilla.com/chofmann/20120926/top-winNT-crashes-summary.txt - Top 10 crashes are on file. If a crash in the list is not filed it is because it only happens on the 8400 build. (RTM=9200)
Aurora
- New crash
- bug 795104 crash in _VEC_memcpy | js_NewStringCopyN
Beta
- https://crash-analysis.mozilla.com/rkaiser/2012-09-26/2012-09-26.firefox.16.explosiveness.html shows a few small spikes.
- Some weird garbage signatures showing up in early Beta 5 data: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/69b95e49-02f8-4021-9b3b-a0aa92120927 is one example.
Release

QA
QA
QAwanted
- http://bit.ly/SmXAIv - We've commented on all desktop bugs
- bug 774509 - needs investigation
- bug 791099 - possible regression -> bug 795050 - app update makes worse ping times (more on this below)
- (ashughes) bug 791099 - Slow Internet Speed in Firefox 15
- TL;DR: need advice on "better" testing and Engineering investigating in parallel
- Seems to be a page load regression but it's hard to say concretely
- F-Secure and AVG increase ping times (~10-20ms) to speedtest server (IE and Fx alike), though I would expect anything using the network to marginally increase congestion
- bug 795050 -
Application Update appears to make for worse ping timesOn first run after the app version changes ping times are worse- Discovered while investigating bug 791099, happens on Update and Pave-over install
- RStrong: "caused by the application cache being invalidated / rebuilt or some other code"
- Q) What tools do we have to automate network performance benchmarking?
