I'm Cristan and I care about UN/LOCODEs. I actually know quite a bit about it and even have some contacts on the inside. I have created https://github.com/cristan/improved-un-locodes which uses Wikidata (among other things) to get more and more reliable coordinates than the original UN/LOCODE dataset. Any questions?
