After the 2023 Connectathon Week

As we dive into European Autumn, IHE-Europe is reflecting on a truly outstanding 2023 Connectathon Week. It exceeded all expectations in so many ways!

Whether you were an experienced international vendor company participating in the busy IHE-Europe Connectathon; one of the 200 participants taking part in the Projectathon expertly organised by Agence du Numérique en Santé (ANS); a delegate in one of the many superb sessions at the IHE-Europe organised Two-Day Experience Days event; an IHE independent Monitor providing your expertise at the IHE Connectathon and French Projectathon to prove successful interoperability; an international VIP delegation member soaking up the plethora of interoperability experiences to be found both in the educational programme or during your VIP Tour of the Connectathon Floor or you were participating in the UNICOM meeting or one of the many inspirational interoperability workshops facilitated by IHE Catalyst you cannot fail to have been impressed by what took place, all in the surroundings of the Couvent des Jacobins, Rennes - a perfect back drop to great networking, good debate, exciting presentations as well as the great food and refreshments provided by the host venue.

NEW: IHE-Europe Monthly Webinars starting in November
IHE-Europe is delighted to announce a series of monthly Webinars targeted at creating a robust community of eHealth interoperability managers that complement the existing IHE Connectathon testers community.
The intention is to spotlight, throughout the year, local and regional initiatives dedicated to advancing interoperability in healthcare. The proven value of IHE methodologies and their applicability to eHealth projects will be showcased, including projects employing cutting-edge standards like FHIR.

IHE-Europe identified as a Key Innovator by the European Commission’s Innovation Radar

We are delighted to announce that IHE-Europe has been identified as a Key Innovator for a series of innovations born from the EU-funded X-eHealth Project. These innovations are part of the development of the EEHRxF (European Electronic Health Record exchange Format) and are the basis of new projects as XpanDH in the context of the EHDS (European Health Data Space).
Here is the list of recognised innovations:
1. Technical Specifications for the Medical Imaging Domain
2. X-eHealth Testing Tools: The tools have been developed with IHE-Europe’s technical partner Kereval
3. Refined Patient Summary Technical Specification for Supporting Rare Diseases
4. Technical Specification for the Laboratory Domain
5. Technical Specifications for Hospital Discharge Reports
The recognition of IHE-Europe as a 'Key Innovator' underscores its pivotal role in shaping these transformative solutions. As these innovations continue to evolve and make their mark on the healthcare sector, we eagerly anticipate their positive influence on patient outcomes, healthcare efficiency and the advancement of medical knowledge.

IHE Radiology Domain updates

The IHE Radiology Domain has published the new Technical Framework Supplement “Prioritisation Of Worklists for Reporting (POWR) - Rev. 1.1“. This profile  may be available for testing at subsequent IHE Connectathons.
A new Technical Framework Supplement for trial implementation on “Integrated Reporting Applications (IRA) - Rev. 1.0.0” has also been published recently. Both documents are available for download.
