No, mistakenly I renamed SuzanneJanssen to "SuzanneJanssen (usruped)" (instead of SuzanneJanssen (usurped)). I just fixed it. The username exists only in two wikis and had been created more than four and half years ago. No edits, and absolutely no sign of contribution. I see it as a textbook case of usurpation but if you really think it's needed, I'll ask for a week request for confirmation in next cases. I am still having trouble, however – I am not able to merge the enwiki username with the unified account you created for me (using the link) because it did not assume the password or verified email address I assigned to the new "JohnnyUtahNo9" account; I believe it is still expecting the password held by the Russian user Thisfireburns (which I do not know), and several attempts to reset the password by emailing myself a temporary one were unsuccessful. The password is different now, so that user must have changed it after the merge. That is how I first noticed the problem back on 3 October – I tried logging on and my password did not work. I later checked my home computer where I had had "Keep me logged in" selected, and I still had access on that terminal (until the account name change); I saw that it was merged with a ruwiki account and had a Russian email address linked. (How that user got my password in the first place if he needed it for the merge is beyond me; I at first thought my account was compromised.) I do not know how else I can verify that the enwiki was my account besides perhaps a screencap of my mobile app, which still shows me logged in as "Thisfireburns". I understand if you are not comfortable merging that account or resetting the password for me. I did not mind creating a new account, worst-case – this was just an attempt to retain credit for my previous edits. Do you have a recommendation how to proceed? This is actually a request for finalizing a renaming begun last January (archive). For privacy reasons, I had my global account changed from Bertrand Bellet to Aucassin. I did not fully complete the renaming process, however. Since I had worked quite a lot over the years on establishing language interwiki links, before this became fortunately centralized on Wikidata, I had small contributions scattered over a lot a wikis. I was therefore bound to ask for renamings on every wiki having loval bureaucrats, meaning dozens of them. This was so tedious that I let things remain unchanged for the wikis that I had edited only a few times, and probably won't edit again now that Wikidata is running.

I'd like to know if the new global renaming functionality would now allow more easily to

  • transfer my few remaining edits as Bertrand Bellet under my Aucassin account
  • and finally deleting Bertrand Bellet altogether.
