Duplicate Venezuelan flag file
editHey so I thought that if I had uploaded a non-duplicate file the speedy deletion note on File:Flag of Venezuela (1863-1864).svg would go away but the file got deleted anyways, is there a way you could restore the file? I'm [User:Won1017]. I'm a Korean Wikipedia user, and in July last year, I was blocked for exploiting multiple accounts there.
In the meantime, I have reflected a lot and decided not to do so again. Now, I will only make normal contributions and work toward the development of the Wiki community.
Therefore, I would like to ask you to unblock me from Korean Wikipedia.

- @Won1017: Meta admins are only admins at Meta, they have no authority to act nor ability to do so on other wikis. Your only means of resolution is through interacting with Korean Wikipedia administrators. Typically you should start with an unblock request at w:ko:user talk:Won1017, apologise for the actions that got you into trouble and seek assistance to be able to edit within the rules of the community there. — billinghurst sDrewth 11:55, 12 May 2024 (UTC)

- @Whitetiger: it is not my battle nor one where I had any intention to enter the fray. My task, as a meta admin, is to point people to where to address their problems, and to sometimes, as a neutral party, to hold up the mirror. False positif in French for Global filter 201
editHello. We have a false positif for the word "Niger". In french, the only signification is the Country, Nigger (with 2 g) doesn't exist. Can you resolve it ? Supertoff (talk) 16:35, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Supertoff: Yes, I see it, the problem is that the use of the abusive term nigger is rife, and the use of one g is a means to circumvent the filter. There are a range of other abusive words in the list, and it has a number of escape clauses within the check. I also see that the same editor hit four other filters within the same article. I don't see that amending the filter to remove that iteration is how we would want to react.
- Up to your community to determine the net worth of that filter to frwiki. So, if the frwiki community wishes to be excluded from that filter, I suppose that general conversation at frWP and a direction to meta admins from frwiki to do so, is my recommended advice. — billinghurst sDrewth 08:26, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hello. About the editor : 2 of the filters hitted where correct, one on frwiki is a false positive but won't be change for now.
