Help
[edit]Hello, can i ask a one question, when my account is unblock in global lock can you help me. My name is virajmishra please bro help me. I have requested global unblock three days ago. Please help me Brother..2405:204:E785:45CB:EBD1:1135:9A62:B45 06:11, 22 October 2017 (UTC)
Well, if Benjaminzygs9403 is used by you, then don't think about getting unlocked anytime soon. -★- PlyrStar93. →Message me. ← 16:44, 22 October 2017 (UTC)- Might be unrelated (see also Benjaminzyg9402), so crossing my previous comment out. -★- PlyrStar93. →Message me. ← 16:55, 22 October 2017 (UTC)

- I'm more inclined Benjaminzyg9402's sock farm is an unrelated case actually, maybe they found some good targets to mess with or something. Anyways, looks like you have left a message to Ruslik, but since I'm not a steward, I don't have any permission to lock or unlock users. -★- PlyrStar93. →Message me. ← 00:16, 23 October 2017 (UTC)
- But you are bigger than me and also senior, then you can give me guidance, I am telling you, first I created an account of Nm52664 and I did not like this username, And I asked for help in my talk page that I have to change the username, you can see my user talk page , but nobody helped me, then I made another account virajmishra and it was blocked, What was my mistake in this? I asked for help but no one helped me You can see my talk page yourself, Try to understand big brother. And I'm sorry I bothered you. 2405:204:E785:45CB:A7C4:8E9D:4304:48E7 01:24, 23 October 2017 (UTC)
- Looks like the block reasons on one account have been clear enough.
- Nm52664: advertising and sockpuppetry (abusing multiple accounts)
- So yeah, your mistakes are first advertising, and then creating several other accounts to continue your disruptive edits. And it looks like you are still trying the patience of enwiki admins by creating even more accounts after your previous accounts got blocked. What you have done is sockpuppetry, or socking, which translates to abusing multiple accounts. Plus, creating new accounts after your old ones got blocked is essentially block evasion.
- Not sure if it really matters here, but your rename request was not filed properly, that's why nobody helped you. If you want your account renamed, you don't post your request on your talk page. These are the venues for requesting a change of username.
- So if you want some guidance from me, those would be read the guidelines of submitting a certain request before you actually do it, stop your spamming/advertising/promoting/etc., and do not sock anymore. RadiX also answered you, so just quoting that here:

Edit warring
[edit]Hi. Thanks for your help, however, please try to avoid edit warring in the future. Matiia (talk) 01:50, 11 December 2017 (UTC)
- @Matiia: I was reverting clear vandalism from an LTA, that was not supposed to be considered as edit warring. -★- PlyrStar93. →Message me. ← 01:53, 11 December 2017 (UTC)
- (Edit conflict) Yes, the vandal User:PlyrMoon93 was actually the sock of en:User:Zsfgseg, and also the meat-puppet of en:User:Benjaminzyg9402, they normally like to use an open proxy IPs for creating accounts to avoid detection of suspect for engaging an disruptive editing, just like the LTA User:Wikinger. SA 13 Bro (talk) 02:32, 11 December 2017 (UTC)
- It is. If two or more users revert each other, then it's an edit warring. If a vandal reverts you, then don't revert them back but report the case to some local admin and wait for the admin action. Vandals want attention and if you do what you did, you give it to them. Matiia (talk) 02:18, 11 December 2017 (UTC)
- Matiia was right, if a LTA vandal engage an reverts war with you, just simply report at WM:RFH and m:SRG. SA 13 Bro (talk) 02:32, 11 December 2017 (UTC)
- OK -★- PlyrStar93. →Message me. ← 02:36, 11 December 2017 (UTC)

Patroller
[edit]Hello, PlyrStar93. Your account has been granted the patroller userright. This permission will allow you to mark edits and page creations as patrolled, view recent changes patrol marks and also quickly rollback consecutive revisions of an editor on a particular page. For more information on the patroller right, please see Meta:Patrollers. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Question About Being Locked
[edit]Hello PlyrStar. As you know, my past accounts have been revealed and the situation has been handled on Wikipedia (this account is now blocked there for at least six months). However, I'm still worried that this account might end up being totally locked like my others were. Should I talk to the admins here about giving me a second chance, or just not say anything and not break any rules on any project? Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated by me, as you seem to be an experienced member here. Thank you. Wild Draw Four (talk) 17:04, 25 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Wild Draw Four: If you stop your nonsense vandalism edits as you has did at your main and other accounts in previously, you maybe won't get the global lock. For English Wikipedia, yes, you have to stay away from there in 6 months without any IPs or new account edits, but you must abandonment your old accounts and promise only stick in one account that you used. SA 13 Bro (talk) 19:18, 25 April 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you for your reply. I will refrain from editing the English Wikipedia in any way for six months, I won't vandalize any more, and I will only use this account, Wild Draw Four. Hopefully commiting to those conditions will allow me to stay here. Should I ask an admin here just to be sure? Wild Draw Four (talk) 19:32, 25 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Wild Draw Four: Go to WM:RFH if you have any questions want to ask. SA 13 Bro (talk) 19:38, 25 April 2018 (UTC)
Is this abuse just local?
[edit]Can you please confirm whether the abuse and impersonation is solely local, or xwiki. Thanks. — billinghurst sDrewth 01:51, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Billinghurst: Not local. The user is Zsfgseg at enwiki, also community banned there. There should also be additional socks that have been locked but never got tagged. -★- PlyrStar93. →Message me. ← 01:55, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
Admin and Crat right on test 2 site
[edit]Hey Plyr, do you wish your Admin and Crat right to be removed from test 2 site? As test site is a Pre-deployment version of MediaWiki legitimate testing efforts place, not a community, it seemed that you doesn't need those right just like me as well. SA 13 Bro (talk) 19:06, 19 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hmm. If we are having communities at test2, then we should consider having stewards spill the rights if people continue to misuse the server. — billinghurst sDrewth 06:59, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
Don't edit war with a vandal
[edit]Hi, just a reminder that it's not nice to see someone edit warring with a vandal, at least not on user talk pages. I know many users do it, but just wanted to let you know that without your reverts there would have been possibly only one new talk page message to the user, after reverting and reverting the user got many more talk page messages, it's quite dispruptive if email notifications are turned on. Usually if you don't have rights to block/lock vandals it's better to wait until admin/steward stops user. Stryn (talk) 19:25, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
- I actually realized that and just left it alone after reverting a few times. -★- PlyrStar93 →Message me. ← 19:42, 30 July 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. If you came back to your user talk page in the es.Wikipedia, you would read that I made a mistake blocking you, I've already apologized for that, I've explained which was the cause of the mistake, and that I've already disblocked and blocked the vandal whose editions you were correcting. Please don't get into revert wars with vandals
[edit]Hi. Please don't get into revert wars with LTA/trolls/vandals, especially not on stewards, or admins user talk pages. You getting into a revert way just gives them the fun, and we don't feed trolls. The recipient knows the vandal is there and don't need all the extra pings, they will notice the vandalism. If it is problematic then raise it with an admin, or on the stewards' IRC channel, and someone will get to it when they can. — billinghurst sDrewth 03:43, 12 February 2019 (UTC)

The Affiliate-selected Board seats process welcomes your support
[edit]Hello. You are receiving this message because you are active in the field of translations <3 The movement needs you! The Nominations phase has started for the ongoing selection process of two Board members, and the timeline is quite tight.
A Translation Central is available to help translators figure out what's been covered and what's left to do. Over the course of the next few weeks, your attention on candidates' profiles is particularly welcome.
While there are four languages that are especially relevant for multiple affiliates (namely Arabic, French, Russian and Spanish), you can also add others. If you can't help: please see if you know anyone in your circle who could, and spread the word :) Thank you! Elitre (WMF) and Facilitators of ASBS 2019, 13:20, 18 April 2019 (UTC)

The Research team could use your help
[edit]Hello. You are receiving this message because of your recent activity in the Translations namespace.
The Wikimedia Research team is developing a new algorithm that automatically recommends sections for editors to add to articles. Translations have already occurred for some of the few languages that we are testing in, except for Spanish and Russian. If you have some time in the next few days, please consider translating the short message (only 6 items) we aim to send out soon, in one or both of these languages. (And if you feel like you want to support your tester peers even more, you can do so by taking care of the related instructions page.)
Thank you! Jonathan Morgan & Diego Saez-Trumper, Wikimedia Foundation Research - 18:14, 19 June 2019 (UTC)

Master name
[edit]Hi PlyrStar93, I see you've reported an LTA several times (e.g., [1] and [2]). Do you know the master name/who this LTA is? Эlcobbola talk 16:52, 25 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Elcobbola: Most of these are miscellaneous vandal/spam accounts without specific names and I don't want to separate into multiple reports. But there are some of the blocked socks of a particular person--I know which one you were asking about, just don't know who the master is for now, unfortunately. I can get back to you if I can figure it out; based on their behavior they probably don't need to be tracked down to a specific master but should continue to be blocked on sight. -★- PlyrStar93 →Message me. ← 17:11, 25 August 2019 (UTC)
- Yes, I'm not asking for a basis for blocking. I'm asking, as a CU, so I can research the specific LTA (LewisGabyBillTan, IsabellaLuiz1995, SpineOrtho, YukiniraSarada1994, LockedUpInHeaven, JohnBorucXVII, TrampolineTramps) and better track them. When all the notes and logs are generic "long-term abuse," I can't, for example, determine how far back it goes or whether it's already had CU involvement. If you can think of a "master," let me know. Thanks. Эlcobbola talk 17:56, 25 August 2019 (UTC)

The 2021 Community Wishlist Survey is now open! This survey is the process where communities decide what the Community Tech team should work on over the next year. We encourage everyone to submit proposals until the deadline on 30 November, or comment on other proposals to help make them better. The communities will vote on the proposals between 8 December and 21 December.
The Community Tech team is focused on tools for experienced Wikimedia editors. You can write proposals in any language, and we will translate them for you. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing your proposals!
18:25, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
We invite all registered users to vote on the 2021 Community Wishlist Survey. You can vote from now until 21 December for as many different wishes as you want.
In the Survey, wishes for new and improved tools for experienced editors are collected. After the voting, we will do our best to grant your wishes. We will start with the most popular ones.
We, the Community Tech, are one of the Wikimedia Foundation teams. We create and improve editing and wiki moderation tools. What we work on is decided based on results of the Community Wishlist Survey. Once a year, you can submit wishes. After two weeks, you can vote on the ones that you're most interested in. Next, we choose wishes from the survey to work on. Some of the wishes may be granted by volunteer developers or other teams.
We are waiting for your votes. Thank you!
