Message definition (Ombuds commission)
In addition to official investigation, they will mediate between the complainant and the respondent (usually a {{Ll|CheckUser}}, [[$os|oversighter]], {{Ll|bureaucrat}}, {{Ll|administrator}}, or {{Ll|arbitration committee}} member<!--$1-->). When legally necessary, the ombuds will assist the General Counsel, the Executive Director or the [[$2|board]] in handling the case.
