I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Japan Atomic Energy Agency developing a code for induced radioactivity calculations. I obtained my PhD from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville studying nuclear engineering in December of 2018. There, my work was on a rather different set of topics surrounding protection from the radiation environment in space. I have experience with modeling the radiation environment in space induced both by galactic cosmic rays and solar particle events, particularly on Mars. I also enjoy some hobbyist mathematics and coding, especially in places where it can make a regularly performed task easier.

More information about me and my work (professional and hobbyist) can be found on my web page: https://hratliff.com/
