The invention relates to a descaling insert. A descaling insert is an instrument for dental use. This instrument is metallic, both ends being straight. Between the two ends, the body of the insert is hook-shaped. The insert is connected to a device emitting vibrations at very high frequencies, typically vibrations close to ultrasound. The apparatus emitting vibrations is known per se and is of the piezoelectric, pneumatic or magnetostrictive type. The vibrations emitted by the device are transmitted to a pointed and tapered end of the insert. This end is maintained by a practitioner, against the part of a tooth, covered with tartar that it is desired to remove. The vibrations of the pointed end allow, in an easy and painless way for the patient, the destruction of the scale plate. This insert has a pointed and tapered end, namely that the rectilinear pointed portion closest to the vibrating apparatus is of greater section than the free tip of the insert. Furthermore, a rectilinear end of the insert, opposite the tip, forms a base of the insert, intended to be fixed on the vibration generating apparatus. This base is cylindrical with a substantially constant circular cross section. Advantageously, the insert is hollow and is provided with an orifice for injecting liquid under pressure, generally water, at the level of the zone to be descaled. This injection of liquid allows a mechanical lubrication of this area and facilitates the removal of scale particles when they have been disintegrated. In addition, the injection of liquid makes it possible to cool the descaling zone. The tip of such an insert, due to friction and vibration against dental enamel and scale, undergoes significant wear during its use. It is found that the more the insert is worn, from the free tip, and the more its effectiveness decreases. Indeed, because of the wear and the tapered shape of the insert, the end portion of the insert that must vibrate is becoming increasingly thick and therefore rigid. As a result, at equal power, the vibrations of the tip of the insert decrease in frequency and / or amplitude. In addition, the contact area between the tip of the insert and the tooth is larger, resulting in a mechanical action of the insert on the less effective scale. In other words, the wear of the end of the insert affects the efficiency of the descaling. FR-A-2 806 292 discloses an insert whose end is equipped with a marking enabling the practitioner to detect the wear threshold of the insert and thus to anticipate the change of the latter. Such a device, if it makes it possible to visualize the wear, does not make it possible to compensate this one. In other words, it does not increase the duration of use of the insert. It is these drawbacks that the invention intends to remedy more particularly by proposing an insert whose effectiveness is preserved in case of wear. For this purpose, the invention relates to a descaling insert whose body is configured in a hook, with a straight tapered tip, the free end of the tip being smaller than the base of the tip which is connected to the body of the insert, characterized in that the tip is provided with at least one longitudinal groove of which at least the depth increases between the free end of the tip and the base of the tip. By varying the depth of the groove in a reverse slope of the direction of decrease in the thickness of the tip, a tip is obtained whose end has a substantially constant amount of material regardless of its wear. This preserves optimal efficiency of the insert, the flexibility of the tip being maintained regardless of wear. According to advantageous but non-mandatory aspects, such an insert may incorporate one or more of the following characteristics: the groove is formed on a so-called outer face of the tip, this face being oriented towards the outside of the circle whose radius defines the curvature of the body of the insert. - The groove is formed on a so-called internal face of the tip, this face being oriented towards the inside of the circle whose radius defines the curvature of the body of the insert. - The groove is configured in cross section, U. - The groove has a length corresponding to the length of the tapered rectilinear tip of the insert. - Between the body and a rectilinear end, cylindrical constant circular section, the insert, an orifice is formed on one side of this end. - The orifice is arranged to direct a jet of liquid on the end of the tip. The invention will be better understood and other advantages thereof will appear more clearly on reading the following description of two embodiments of a descaling insert according to the invention, given solely as a example and made with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: - Figure 1 is a front view of an insert according to one embodiment of the invention - Figure 2 is a top view on the same scale FIG. 3 is a view, on a larger scale, of the detail 3 of FIG. 2, the insert being shown in the configuration of use against a tooth schematically represented, FIG. 4 is a longitudinal section, on the same scale, of the insert shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the base of the insert being partially shown; FIG. 5 is a view, on a larger scale, of detail V to FIG. FIG. 4; FIG. 6 is a section, on a larger scale, In line VI-VI in FIG. 5, FIG. 7 is a view, on the same scale, similar to FIG. 2, of an insert according to a second embodiment of the invention; FIG. a section similar to Figure 4 of the insert illustrated in Figure 7 and - Figure 9 is a section, on a larger scale, along line IX-IX in Figure 8. The insert 1, 2 shown in different Figures 1 to 8 according to two embodiments, comprises three parts. An end 3, generally cylindrical constant circular section forms a first part. This end 3, hereinafter referred to as the main base, is hollow and open at one end 4. This base 3 is adapted to be mounted on an apparatus ensuring the vibration of the insert. The connection means of the end 4 of the base 3 and the vibration apparatus is known per se and is not shown for more legibility. A countersink 5 formed in the vicinity of the closed end 6, opposite to the open end 4, of the main base 3 allows the insert to be gripped by a tool in order to be assembled or dismounted on the appliance. set vibration. The insert 1, 2 comprises a second and a third part defining the active part of the insert. As illustrated in Figures 4 and 8, this active part comprises a body 10, 11 of the insert, hook-shaped, with a free end or tip 12, respectively 13, rectilinear, tapered and square tip. The body 10, 11 forms the second part while the tip 12, 13 forms the third part of the insert. This active part has a variable section. In this case, the smallest area cross section corresponds to the free end of the tip 12, 13 while the largest area section is located at the base 14, 15 of the body 10, 11, that is to say at the zone of connection between the body 10, 11 and the base 3 of the insert 1, 2. The body or hook 10, 11 is curved in a circle C of radius R between 2 mm and 8 mm. The inner face 7 of the base 14, 15 of the body 10, 11 is provided with an orifice 8, visible in FIGS. 4 and 8. This orifice makes it possible to connect the internal volume 9 of the main base 3 and the outside . The orifice 8 is adapted so that, when a liquid is injected into the base 3 of the insert, the liquid outlet is oriented toward the free end or tip 10, 11 of the insert 1, respectively 2. As can be seen in the various figures, the hook 10, 11 and the cylindrical base 3 are in one piece, for example made of stainless steel or another material suitable for dental use. The connection between the hook 10, 11 and the base 3 is made by material between the base 14, 15 of the hook 10, 11 and an edge of the end 6 of the base 3. In other words, the base 3 extends, on one of the edges of the end 6, by a tapered relief in its distal portion and curved in its proximal portion. The rectilinear free end or tip 12, 13 of the hook 10, respectively 11, which is intended to be in contact with the tooth, is adapted to be subjected to vibrations at very high frequencies, generally between 20 kHz and 30 kHz. The hook 10, 11 has its section which varies overall from 10 mm 2 to 15 mm 2 over a length generally between 30 and 40 mm, the portion of larger section being located closer to the base 3 of the insert. The length of the tip 12, 13 is about 6 mm for a section generally ranging from 4 mm 2 to 1 mm 2 towards its free end. The tip 12, 13 extends in this manner the curved portion 10, 11 of the insert. There is thus a body 10, 11 whose curved and rectilinear zones are tapered. The free end of the tip 12, 13 forming the top of the straight portion tapered. The curved shape of the portion 10, 11 is adapted to ensure optimum vibration of the insert. In addition the curved portion 10, 11 allows manipulation and implementation of the insert easier on the part of the practitioner. As illustrated in Figure 3, it is by a lateral support of the tip 12, 13 against a tooth that the insert is used. Thus, the wear due to the friction of the metal insert against the tooth enamel and scale, tends to conform in V the cross section of the end 12, 13 of the insert, by removal of material. While, as can be seen in the various figures, the end of the tip 12, 13 is not at the origin in V, but in U. FIGS. 1 to 6 illustrate a first embodiment, where one face 16, said outer of the rectilinear tip 12, that is to say the face oriented towards the outside of the circle C, is provided with a groove 17. This groove 17 is arranged longitudinally and extends in one direction parallel to a main longitudinal axis A of this rectilinear tip 12. The groove 17 is, in the example, flat-bottomed, as shown in Figure 6. It opens at the end 18 of the tip 12 and is closed in the vicinity of the zone where the hook 10 is extended by the rectilinear tip 12.
Such a groove 17 therefore has a length L of between 3 mm and 5 mm for a width 1 of about 0.3 mm. Here, the width of the groove A is constant over the length and the depth of the groove 17. In a variant, it may vary according to the length and / or the depth of the groove. This groove 17 has a variable depth P along its length L. Namely that it is deeper at its blind end 19 which is furthest from the free end 18 of the tip 12. In other words, this groove 17 is deeper where the third part of the insert has a greater thickness and width. The groove 17 thus has a depth P which varies in the opposite direction to the direction of tapering of the tip 12. The bottom of the groove 17 is oriented at an angle whose value varies substantially inversely with the variation of the value. the angle R of the section of the rectilinear portion 12. The fact of varying, unlike the decrease in the dimensions of the tip 12, the depth P of the groove 17 can counteract the effects of wear on the behavior of the insert. In other words, in spite of the wear, an insert 1 is thus produced, the third portion 12 of which comprises substantially the same quantity of material, whatever the wear and the location considered on the tip 12. This allows, as far as it is possible to preserve the flexibility and elasticity of the tip 12. Thus, the vibrations of the tip 12 remain overall similar, in amplitude, between a new insert 1 and a worn insert 1. The more the insert 1 wears and the closer we get to the thickest part of the tip 12. In doing so and the depth P of the groove 17 increasing, the quantity of material at this thick zone 20 remains substantially the same as that present at the end 18 the thinnest. However, it is this amount of material that has a particularly notable effect on the rigidity of the tip 12 of the insert and therefore on its ability to vibrate. Figures 7 to 9 illustrate another embodiment of an insert 2 according to the invention. The insert 2 comprises a cylindrical base 3 and a body or hook 11 similar to those of the insert 1. In particular, the body 11 is configured in a hook whose curvature is given by a circle C of radius R, which is identical the circle C of radius R of the insert 1. Similarly, the hook 11 comprises a rectilinear end 13 whose free end edge 21 is similar to the edge 18, namely substantially flat. The tip 13 is also provided with a groove 22 arranged longitudinally in a direction parallel to an axis B of the tip 13.
In this embodiment, the groove 22 is not formed on the outer face of the tip 13 but on the inner face 23 of the latter. In other words, the face 23 is oriented towards the inside of the circle C whose radius R defines the curvature of the hook 11. The groove 22 is also at a variable depth depending on the length of the groove. The bottom of the groove also has a slope oriented in the opposite direction to the decrease slope of the thickness of the tip 13. This groove 22 has substantially the same length and the same width as the groove 17 formed in the insert 1. On the other hand, as illustrated in FIG. 9, this groove 22 is not U-shaped with a flat bottom but in U-shape with a rounded bottom. A round bottom groove is easier and more efficient cleaning because there are no areas that can accumulate soiling. In addition, with a rounded bottom, there is no break zone in the structure of the constituent material of the insert. In the embodiments illustrated in Figures 1 to 9, the tips 12, 13 are semicircular section. The configuration, in section, of the groove 17 or 22 and / or the tip 12 or 13 is adapted to facilitate its execution. In both embodiments, that is to say with an insert provided with either an outer groove 17 or an inner groove 22, significant vibration of the tip 12, 13 is preserved irrespective of the wear. Depending on the dimensions of the insert 1, 2 and more particularly the length and the width of the tip 12 or 13, the groove 17, 22 is made on one or the other of the faces 23, depending on the execution facilities and / or available tools. It should be noted that the orifice 8, in the two embodiments, makes it possible to send a jet of liquid, with a given angle with respect to the horizontal, in the direction of the tip 12, 13 and that in one direction substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis A, B of the groove 17, 22. Thus, the free edge 18, 21 of the tip, and therefore the open end of the groove 17, 22, receives a suitable jet of liquid, in its orientation, to impact the contact area between the tooth and the insert 1, 2. Alternatively, the orifice 8 is located on the blind end of the groove 1.
