Abstract
724,758. Compound sheet materials. KING E. P. May 6, 1952 [Feb. 7, 1951], No. 11388/52. Divided out of 724,753 and addition to 635,823. Drawings to Specification. Class 140. [Also in Groups X, XXI, XXII, XXVIII and XXXIII. In a laminated structure made by the method described in the parent Specification, one or more of the metal layers extend beyond the other metal layer or layers so as to provide one or more steps in the thickness of the structure. One or more of the layers, which may be of different metals, may be perforated. The cold-setting adhesive and fibrous layers may be as described in Specification 724,753. The invention may be applied to girders, the leading edge or the whole skin of an aircraft wing, or helicopter rotor blade, or a tube.
