Abstract

PURPOSE:To remotely operate an electric equipment easily at low cost by integrating a receiver or a repeater for infrared rays or radio waves into a plug adapter and connecting or disconnecting a power source while operating a transmitter from any arbitrary place. CONSTITUTION:This remote controller adapter is composed of a plug blade part 1 for general-purpose plug, blade receiving part 2 for receiving the plug of the electric equipment, protector 3, relay 4, light receiving window 6 and receiver 5. Concerning one transmitter, when a key is depressed, one key of a key matrix 18 is conducted, an encoder 17 selects one of operation patterns, and transmitter 15 emits infrared pulse light by driving an infrared light emitting element 16. This light is photoelectrically converted by the light receiving element of the adapter, the relay 4 is driven by a decoder and an amplifier, and the AC voltage of the blade part 1 is connected/disconnected to the blade receiving part 2.
