This invention has utility in relieving distress disturbing conditions, especially about the face of an individual as to skin, flesh, and general.

Further value arises in positioning flesh portions, say from disflguration, as well as in instances to adjust to meet the wishes for comely appearance. Head I of an individual is herein shown as having theskullabout the ears engaged by support for the facialtreatment of the disclosure herein. The various arms 5 are independently angularly shiftable as to the bolt 5, and as such angular relation .is-determined, knurled head it may be operated-against nut IT in effecting clamping through this bolt 5. These respective arms 'I are elements of bow-shaped carriers from the skull-embracing disk of the head set support on one side toward skull-embracing companion disk on the opposite side of the head of the patient.- These arms of the bow portions are flanged in thereby forming seats toward the free ends thereof to telescopically receive resilient or flexible connecting bow l8 therebetween. This means that this pad may be shifted from adjacent the ear toward the nose and may be positioned upward and-over the forehead or down as to the several bow carriers, even to beneath the chin. There is thereby provided from the skull region of the ear a range of arc positioning from the hair on the region of the top of the head downward to the neck, and from adjacent the ear over to the vicinity of the nose. This provides a range for according attention in treating, say skin diseases or for placing and holding flesh portions whether or not disturbed by disease attack. However, effective treatment hereunder resides in having this facial control positioned following attention given the patient or client, say to the extent of skin affecting treatments in massage or other appropriate handling for skin relaxing or giving such life or activity against what might be construed as a dormant or inactive position which may be a factor in nervous disturbance, whether excessive or subnormal.

In'such approach toward the desired holding, whether for the forehead, eyebrows, eyelids, cheek portions, or even to the sub-chin, as so shifted, the cushioning of the pad may be sufficient as placed to support the desired location or relieve as well as be a factor in easing the matter of disturbance or undesired poise. The degree for this holding may be sufiicient from mere fiexing of the bow shaped portion and allowing the porous or sponge rubber to be adjusted in the holding position sought. As there may be occasion for more firm or extreme tension, the degree of hardness therefor may merge through pneumatic cushion to a more firm bow say of rubber. In the instance of disease or inducing special local activity, medicated pad may be so located or there may be local application of heat; of course care being taken that such be not disturbing to the individual and not to the degree of promoting undesirable irritation or burn.

Accordingly, for the pneumatic cushioning, tubular rubber pad 28 (Fig. '7) may have air chamber 29 for the cushion. In the event there is required more firmness than the porous sponge pad 24, a rubber body pad 30 (Fig. 6) may be placed. In the instance there is treatment say to overcome irritation or local infection, medicated pad 3| (Fig. 8) may be placed on the bow portion of the carrier and adjustably located in the specific region for treatment. Again, if the treatment be one wherein a temperature control as warming, although such might even go to chilling in conjunction with the impregnated pad or the tubular pad, this temperature rise treatment may be by electric heater 32 (Fig. 9).

The slot or recess 22 of the mid-portion of the bow carrier may provide location for stem 33 having head 34 as adjusted by knurled screw 35 into holding position say medially of the forehead, near the lip or beneath the nose, lower lip and for the chin therebelow. A plurality of these clamps may anchor secondary bow 36 as a spanner between the primary bows I8 and thereby permit location of stem 31 to be locked by knurled head screw 38 in position tertiary bow 39. This bow 36, as well as the bow 39, are flexible thin sheet metal with a degree of resiliency, but adapted to conform and yieldably hold in position. This bow 39 is accordingly provided with terminal pad 40 to position in proximity to the bridge of the nose to reduce wrinkles or a desired facial expression or lines thereto. This location is determined not only from the adjustment of the knurled elements 35 as positioning the secondary bow 36 but by the knurled head 38 determining the in or out extent for this holding. Additionally, pair of arms 4| are still minor bows yieldable in their extent from the bow 39 and having attachable pad 42 adjusted thereon to be engaged by bead overhangs 43 (Fig. 12) in their coaction with the free ends of the bows 4|. There are thus located pads 42 to engage say along the sides of the nose of the individual, and this location is adjusted in the positioning of the bow 36 as to a pair of bows I8 connected thereby. Furthermore, the transverse position and the rigidity thereof is determined by adjusting knurled headed screw 44 so that these terminal pads 42 may apply the desired pressure or location in positioning the flesh region as well as the nose and as to the cheeks.

As discussed, this head provides an effective support with this range of equipment snugly, definitely located for the treatment. Should there be emergency, it is only necessary to shift the head set from the skull-engaging portions of the individual and all is removed as a unit. In the event this positioning is conducted for repeated treatments toward a desired end, the assembly may retain its contour for re-use. In the event the support and carriers be adopted for individual treatments instead of generally for .a single patient, the various parts as directly contacting an individual are susceptible for single service use or disinfecting treatments between uses, in thereby providing fully sanitary equipment with a range of adaptation to meet the full requirements about the front portion of the head of an individual.

While this set-up may be not uncomfortable as placed with the individual, it is not readily adapted for the individual to use in lying down, especially if the side of the head be of purpose for rest. Accordingly, in the adaptation for continued treatment interval which may go over a period of rest, even to throughout the night, conformation hereunder With a range may be from skull or ear-embracing head set frame portion 45 (Fig. 13) having strap 46 adjustable about the head rearwardly therefrom to oppose bow carrier portion straps 4'! adjustable not only in length but in position for engaging the forehead, cheeks, jaw, sub-chin. These bow portions or straps 4'! at the carriers may have -mounted therewith sponge rubber 48 (Fig. 14) or other desired pad means in completing a range for use.

What is claimed and it is desired to secure by Letters Patent is:

Facial contact apparatus embodying a skull positioned head set frame comprising a pair of ring-shaped ear pads and adjustable-pressure arched clamping means therebetween forming a unit adapted to be readily located about the ears of a patient in forming a major support, a plurality of primary carrier means of bow form extending from the unit adapted to be across the face of such patient, secondary carrier means connected between and mounted by the primary carrier means for an intersecting direction across the face of the patient, facial configuration promoting yieldable pad devices, and adjustable mounting means for locating the devices with the carrier means, there being an additional nose treating adjustable yieldable pad device carried by the secondary carrier means.
