Description

VERKAUFSAUTOMAT SALES MACHINE
The invention relates to a vending machine for dispensing goods and / or providing services, with a control unit which contains at least one processor and at least one memory, with at least one entry for generating a credit and with an entry for operation, in particular for the selection of goods .
In the context of the invention, vending machines are to be understood as machines which, for example, dispense drinks, such as coffee, tea, etc. in portions, or which dispense beverage bottles, beverage cans, dishes, etc. after payment. Likewise, machines are to be understood that provide a service after payment, for example, open access to a telecommunications network, offer video and / or audio demonstrations or also perform activities such as. B. cleaning shoes, washing clothes, etc.
In the known vending machines of this type, the transaction is usually started by inserting coins into a coin switching device or by entering banknotes into a banknote validator. As an alternative to this, vending machines have recently been used which have a chip card reader and can debit from an account stored on the chip card in order to carry out the transaction.
Particularly in the case of machines which are set up in a “semi-public” area, for example in the cafeteria of a university or a large company building, the conventional way of paying for the products or services is cumbersome since the coins or banknotes in the required denomination are often not available , or a chip card, as long as it is always carried, carries the risk of loss with unpleasant consequences.
It is an object of the invention to provide an automatic vending machine in which the above-mentioned problems are reduced or avoided.
Diese Aufgabe läßt sich mit einem Verkaufsautomaten der eingangs genannten Art lösen, bei welchem erfindungsgemäß eine Fingerabdruckeingabe mit einem an die Steuereinheit angeschlossenen Printsensor vorgesehen ist, die Steuereinheit eine Fingerabdruckerkennung enthält und dazu eingerichtet ist, einen nach Betätigung der Geldeingabe ermittelten Betrag zumindest einem über den Printsensor abgetasteten Fingerabdruck als Guthaben zuzuordnen und spätere Transaktionen nach neuerlicher Eingabe eines Fingerabdruckes und Befehlseingabe über die Eingabe bargeldlos, durch Abbuchung von dem Guthaben durchzufuhren, falls der neuerlich eingegebene Fingerabdruck als mit dem bei der Guthabeneroffnung eingegebenen als übereinstimmend erkannt istThis object can be achieved with a vending machine of the type mentioned in the introduction, in which, according to the invention, a fingerprint input with a print sensor connected to the control unit is provided, the control unit contains a fingerprint recognition and is set up to at least one amount determined after actuation of the money input via the print sensor assign scanned fingerprint as credit and later Transactions after re-entering a fingerprint and entering commands via the entry without cash, to be carried out by debiting the credit, if the newly entered fingerprint is recognized as matching the one entered when the credit was opened
Dank der Erfindung genügt es, wenn das durch einen ersten Fingerabruck eröffnete Konto des Verkaufsautomaten gefüllt wird Für spatere Transaktionen genügt ein Auflegen eines Fingerballens auf die Fingerabdruckeingabe, welche das Konto freigibt, und nach Wahl des gewünschten Artikels den Verkaufsvorgang ermöglichtThanks to the invention, it is sufficient if the account of the vending machine opened by a first fingerprint is filled. For later transactions, it is sufficient to place a finger ball on the fingerprint input, which releases the account, and after the choice of the desired article, enables the sales process
Bei einer zweckmäßigen Ausfuhrungsförm ist vorgesehen, daß die Steuereinheit dazu eingerichtet ist, nach Betätigung der Geldeingabe und einer Warenauswahl über die Eingabe den abgetasteten Fingerabdruck zusatzlich zu dem Guthaben auch der ausgewählten Ware zuzuordnen, wobei bei neuerlich eingegebenem Fingerabdruck eine die ausgewählte Ware betreffende Transaktion samt Abbuchung vom Guthaben ohne weitere explizite Befehlseingabe erfolgtIn an expedient embodiment, it is provided that the control unit is set up to assign the scanned fingerprint in addition to the credit to the selected goods after actuation of the money input and a selection of goods via the input, with a newly entered fingerprint including a transaction relating to the selected goods including debiting of the credit without further explicit command input
Diese Ausgestaltung bringt den Vorteil, daß bei späteren Transaktionen ein Auflegen eines Fingerballens auf die Fingerabdruckeingabe ausreicht, um den Verkaufsvorgang ohne weitere Eingabe im Sinne einer Warenauswahl auszulosen Der Benutzer eines solchen Verkaufsautomaten kann überdies die unterschiedlichen Fingerabdrücke seiner Finger dazu verwenden, seinen Fingern verschiedene Waren zuzuordnen, sodaß beispielsweise mit dem Zeigefinger eine Kaffeeausgabe, mit dem Mittelfinger hingegen die Ausgabe von Mineralwasser ausgelöst wird In diesem Fall kann man vorsehen, daß bei Errichtung des Guthabens mehr als ein einziger Fingerabdruck dem Guthaben zugeordnet wirdThis configuration has the advantage that in subsequent transactions, placing a ball of finger on the fingerprint input is sufficient to trigger the sales process without further input in the sense of a selection of goods. The user of such a vending machine can also use the different fingerprints of his fingers to assign different goods to his fingers , so that, for example, a coffee dispenser is triggered with the index finger, whereas the dispensing of mineral water is triggered with the middle finger. In this case, it can be provided that more than a single fingerprint is assigned to the credit when the credit is set up
Wie bereits erwähnt, kann die Geldeingabe vorteilhafterweise ein Munzschaltgerat, einen Geldscheinprüfer oder einen Chipkartenleser aufweisenAs already mentioned, the entry of money can advantageously have a coin switching device, a bill validator or a chip card reader
In dieser zeigt die einzige Figur in schematischer Darstellung die Konfiguration eines Verkaufsautomaten nach der ErfindungThe invention and further advantages are explained in more detail below with reference to an exemplary embodiment, which is illustrated in the drawing. In this the single figure shows a schematic representation of the configuration of a vending machine according to the invention
As can be seen from the figure, a vending machine according to the invention has an actual, generally electromechanical, machine part MAT, which is set up, for example, to dispense beverages. Via a bus system, this machine part MAT is connected to a control unit STE, which has at least one processor CPU and at least one contains a memory SPE. A bill checker can also use the bus system BUS GSP and / or a coin switching device MSG and / or a chip card reader CKL can be integrated and finally an input TAS is also provided for operation, which enables a selection of goods, for example, by push buttons. A limitation to pushbuttons is not mandatory, however, another form of input is possible, e.g. B. on an interactive screen or by voice control.
As far as the vending machine has been described above, it essentially corresponds to the state of the art. However, the invention provides a fingerprint input FAD with a print sensor PSE, which is connected to the control unit, namely to a fingerprint recognition FAE of the control unit.
Typing fingerprints is usually used to secure access to secure areas, be they rooms or data storage. The fingerprint of a potential user is compared with a stored fingerprint and the area is then released if there is at least a certain percentage of agreement. The print sensors are usually designed as semiconductor chips and work on an optical or capacitive basis. In the context of the invention, however, the fingerprint entry is provided after the entry of the money, for. B. by inserting coins to assign the amount determined to a fingerprint as credit that was scanned via the print sensor PSE. In practice, a user of the vending machine according to the invention will first build up a credit by inserting money or inserting a chip card and then the vending machine will prompt him to put the ball of his finger on the fingerprint input FAD or its print sensor PSE. Now the fingerprint is scanned and this or its features are stored in the control unit and at the same time the amount built up is assigned to the fingerprint features as credit.
The control unit is now set up to carry out a cashless transaction by debiting the opened account when a new fingerprint is entered and, if necessary, a command by entering TAS, provided that the fingerprint now entered or scanned is correct in a certain minimum number of characteristics with the stored one Match. In other words, this means that a user who has built up a credit in the manner described above does not need cash or a chip card when the machine is operated later, but only by fingerprint and by previous or subsequent selection of a product by entering TAS the sales process triggers.
However, the control device STE can also be set up to give a fingerprint not only an account or credit, but also a specific product or service After activating the money entry, i.e. for example entering a bank note in the GSP bank note checker and selecting a product using the TAS entry and when placing a finger on the FAD fingerprint input, the fingerprint is saved, and this fingerprint becomes the credit on the one hand and the selected goods on the other hand assigned If a new fingerprint is entered, the transaction is then carried out in such a way that the stored goods are issued and the credit is debited. In this case, not only is there no entry of money, but also no selection via the entry TAS, generally a keyboard, required The user of a vending machine can use this property and assign different goods to his fingers, so that coffee is dispensed, for example, by entering an imprint of the index finger, when entering an imprint of the middle finger - of course, always from the same hand - mineral water is dispensed If you want to avoid the need to set up your own account for each finger in this case, you can provide that not only one fingerprint but several fingerprints can be entered when you first enter it a single account for all fingers of a user, but assigned a different commodity to each finger
