I removed quite a bit of the text, because the information was incorrect. Transtech works in Otanmäki, not in Tampere.
Old blue wagons were built by the VR mechanical works in Pasila (Helsinki, Finland) Old one-etage IC wagons were first built by VR mechanical works in Pasila, later by VR mechanical works in Tampere. Doubledecker IC-wagons were built in Otanmäki, Finland (somewhat close to Kajaani). The factory was first owned by Talgo but was later sold to a new company called Transtech.
Of the EMU trainsets: Sm1 and Sm2 (Old high-floor "elektrichki") were built by Valmet's Airplane factory in Tampere Sm3 (Pendolino) were built by Fiat Ferroviara in Italy (now owned by Alstom) Sm4 (Low-floor "elektrichki") were built by CAF (Spain) and later by Alstom (France)
Finnish-standard cargo wagons were built by VR mechanical works in Pasila and in Pieksämäki. About half of cargo wagons used in Finland belong to other companies than VR. They mostly belong to Russian companies. Almost all such wagons are built according to Russian standards and if they belong to a Finnish company, they are usually registered to Estonia. Of the Finnish cargo train services about 2/3 are inside Finland and 1/3 are Finland-Russia-Finland.
The cargo transported is mainly raw wood, ore, paper, chemistry products and raw materials for chemistry.
Therefore, the article as it was, contained a lot of incorrect information. -- Dakkus 17:01, 6 января 2011 (UTC)
