John H. Land (November 5, 1920 – November 21, 2014) was an American politician. He was the longest serving mayor in the history of Florida and one of the longest serving mayors in the United States. After having serving as mayor since 1970, Land lost his mayoral seat to Joe Kilsheimer on April 8, 2014. Land was born in Plant City, Florida.
Land died in a hospital in Orlando, Florida from a massive stroke, aged 94.[1]
