Scènes de la vie de bohème (Scenes from the Bohemian Life) is a book by Henri Murger. It was published in parts between 1847 and 1849, and in book form in 1851. The book is about the lives of the poor poets, artists, and musicians in Paris about 1830. It was the basis for La bohème, an opera by Giacomo Puccini in 1896, and another opera of the same name by Ruggero Leoncavallo in 1897.
