Wowwowwow. The way that this book and this series as a whole has consumed me. Kate Golden has somehow taken all of the aspects that I LOVE from my favorite romantasy books and wrapped them up together in this series.. and for that I bow to her!
The pacing through this whole book was almost perfect.. given that Arwen was a bit annoying in the beginning. I loved the sort of adventure/scavenger hunt plot line because it felt new and different from book one. We also meet a few new characters *cough cough Fredrick cough cough* and get a little bit more intricate world building.
The Plot Twist... Kate we need to have a talk! I did not see the ending coming one bit, and was completely shook by the epilogue. I literally have no idea what I will do with myself waiting for book three on October....more

This was a spur of the moment buddy read for me and I loved every bit of it. The world building was so incredibly easy to understand but still unique in its own way. It made it so easy to get sucked right into the story.
All of the characters are so lovable! I was cackling the entire time at Arwen & Mari. Their friendship was perfect. Of course I had to add King Zane Ravenwood to my book boyfriends because he had me screaming, blushing, & kicking my feet the entire time! New shadow daddy unlocked...more

A week later and I'm still thinking about this book. Kate Stewart has such a way with her writing that makes you actually feel every single bit of happiness, pleasure, pain, and hearbreak that our FMC experiences. *Emphasis on the pain and heartbreak* The writing itself is so incredibly consuming that it was hard to put down. I'm not being dramatic when I say this book wrecked me. Kate, you know what you did!!
She still keeps you guessing through most of the book. Feeding you little tidbits of details and secrets along they way that keep you hooked and always guessing. Once again the ending leaves you needing more and I ran so fast to pick up The Finish Line. ...more

With all of the hype around this book, I was pretty sure that I was going to love it. I still managed to go into it pretty blind, and I highly recommend doing so if you are thinking of picking up this book. (obviously, definitely check your TW first though)
First and foremost.. Dean Asher deserves the world and I would rather parish than let anything else happen to him! I still don't understand how Dean was able to be so incredibly caring, thoughtful and freaking selfless all while dealing with his own trauma, and for that we are NOT worthy!
"She looks like healing. She feels like healing."
This story is not just your average romance. This is a beautifully heartbreaking love story about overcoming trauma and learning how to heal and love again. It touches on mental heath and loss, and learning to forgive and trust again. The dark topics in this book were handled so genuinely and with the utmost respect.
This was soo close to being a 5 star read for me, and I'm sure as I continue to mull it over my rating might change, but as of now I simply cannot give narcissistic Mandy 5 stars. Mandy is quite honestly my new most hated side character, and she does not deserve happiness. The way I wanted to throw this book every time she made the situation about her!
As beautiful as this book is, it is also incredibly heavy and sad so please make sure you know what you're getting yourself into....more

There is just something about Jasper's silent but strong personality, and as a dancer of course I loved Sloane. These two had such good witty banter mixed with the perfect amount of tension and spice. I truly loved emotional connection between the two and experiencing their character growth was everything. This is just all around such a joy to read, and I have fallen head over heels for this series!

Winter was so incredibly relatable to me, easily overstimulated, hates asking for help, quite harsh when overwhelmed.. I think the only difference is that I do in fact cry all the time. I loved the character growth that she recieved in this book. Her side of the story deserved its moment and experiencing her find herself was a joy to read. Winter & Theo had me kicking my feet and giggling since their little feature in Powerless, and I fell in love with them so fast. Theo freaking Silva was everything. I honestly have no notes, he's just THAT good!
I didnt think any other books in the series could top Hopeless for me, but damn! These books might be my new roman empire. Elsie give yourself a pat on the back girl!...more

I'm clearly a sucker for witty/borderline bullying banter and flirtation (which is why I'm obsessed with EH) between characters and in this book it was chef's kiss good. I really loved the sister dynamic between Nora & Libby + the tension with Charlie was everything I wanted and more! Some parts felt a little longer than necessary which brought my rating down 1/2 a star, but I really enjoyed the ending once we got there....more

It was so fluffy and funny, but also so meaningful.
The cheesy nerdy comments were everything, even though half of them went way over my head. I found Elsie to be such an incredibly relatable FMC who we follow as she deals with sexism, family dynamics, identity issues, and the need to people please. I loved all of the various representation within this book as well, from chronic illness to ace/aro spectrum representation.
The slow burn romance in this book was soo well done! I actually fell head over heels in love with Jack the MMC. I can’t wait to read more Ali Hazelwood!...more

I have fallen head over heels for this series and Lyla Sage's wrting. Something about it is just so easy and cozy yet oh so consuming. She does an incredible job of creating characters that are easy to love and relate to.
Ada and Wes might truly be my favorite couple. I related to both of them in so many different ways, and quickly became obsessed with thier story. Ada gives off that black cat energy and struggles with accepting love and friendship, while Wes is such a golden reteiever people pleaser with the biggest heart, but has struggles of his own centered around depression and seeking the approval of those he loves most.
I loved everything about this book, and this seires and I want nothing more than to have Teddy & Gus' story ASAP! Lyla Sage has definitely become an auto buy author for me, and I just cannot recommend this series enough.

Ok, I am officially a second chance romance gal & Elliot Bloom's grumpy sunshine attitude has my heart! The passion and romance in this book was everything I needed. There were so many angsty and heart-aching moments between Ama & Elliot, and I couldn't help but root for them to find their way back to each other from the very beginning.
I absolutely loved the dual POV dynamic that also spanned the past and present timelines. Elliot's chapters gave us the past timeline and recounted when they met and how their relationship fell apart. Ama's chapters gave us the present timeline and walked us though how they get reconnected. The way Julie Soto lays out both timelines was quite possibly my favorite aspect of the book.
Ama is extroverted & funny, and also quite scared of commitment while Elliot is quite possibly the sweetest grump ever! His grumpy yet protective and caring personality lands him a spot as one of my favorite book boyfriends. The ending for these two was absolutely perfect!...more

This was the perfect book to kickstart my cowboy romance era! The slow burn tension between Summer and Rhett was everything I ever wanted. As individual characters they were both deep and complex and their love story was so perfectly paced.

From the beginning I was hooked on every word to come out of Noah Riley's mouth, and from there on out I needed to know what was going to happen. The overload of characters in the beginning was a bit overwhelming, but it got easier as the story progressed. One of my favorite things about this story was the character growth, and following along Ari as she heals and finds her self and what she deserves. Noah Riley is top tier book boyfriend material, and I will forever cherish his and Ari's love story. Noah deserves the world, and I'm not sure if other MMCs will ever compare. This man had me giggling, blushing, screaming & crying the entire time.
Don't get me wrong, there were multiple times that I wanted to chunk this book across the room but it pulled me back in every time. There were times that the dialogue felt a little cheesy, but then again all the character were in college so what do you expect? Yes, there are trials that very much have a Hunger Games vibe.. but I’ve read and loved plenty of books with the trials trope and this one was no different. This story truly focuses on the slow burn, enemies/rivals to lovers romance with a dual POV that was chef’s kiss!

I am almost at a loss for words at how much I loved and appreciated this work of art. It’s was so incredibly paced and laid out. I was intensely invested from the very beginning and as addicting as it was to read I forced myself to slow down towards the end for the fear of it actually being over.
This is definitely not for everyone. Please check the TWs before diving in. This story is dark, difficult and deeply sad, but also incredibly beautiful, unique and immersive all at the same times. The romance was the most satisfying slow burn, and I don’t think I’ve ever rooted for two characters more. The risks were dangerous and the stakes so incredibly high.
I will forever think about this masterpiece! This story was so beautifully done, and not overhyped whatsoever. Thank you SenLinYu for sharing!...more

It was just so fun to be in their dark world and hunt for answers with both Oraya & Raihn. I slowly but surely forgave Raihn for his actions at the end of book one, and fell in love with him all over again.
My favorite part of this book was the sort of treasure/scavenger hunt plot line. It felt very HP finding horcruxes for me. I felt it was such a good balance to the trial storyline from book one. It also revealed a lot of answers that I was so desperately seeking. This book has the happy ending I needed after experiencing so much with these characters, however it did leave so much to be explored in the future Crowns of Nyaxia books....more

Give me a swoon worth MMC and a forced proximity, fake dating, slow burn romance all day everyday.Everything about Daphne and Miles' story was so loveable. It was witty and clever, while also being a bit messy. I laughed and cired, and quite literally could not stop giggling.
The characters were so incredibly relatable. Our main characters are all in their mid 30's which was such a breath of fresh air! I felt Daphne's struggle with social interaction around strangers and meeting new people to my core. The overall growth and healing between each character was so refreshing. This story explores topics of finding oneself, working through abadonment issues, and self love.
Just go ahead and proactively add Miles Nowak to your list of Book Boyfriends because he will infact steal your heart! This man had me blushing everytime he was even mentioned on the page. He is so incredibly easy going with the best sense of humor and the biggest charmer around. But ultimately he cares BIG!
As always, Emily Henry never disapoints when it comes to the banter and chemitry between her characters.
