I really enjoyed this book. I loved the way Kate Clayborn took a heavy subject and weaved it into a book without making it dark. There was always a light side, but it never took away from the depth of the book. A lot of authors fail to do this. I loved the times Zoe and Aiden spent at the camp. The story was well paced and the romance didn’t feel rushed. Zoe was an amazing character and I loved her. Aiden was more reserved but it suited him. This is my first book by this author, but definitely not the last.

Jay Crownover is a new to me author whereas I’ve read almost all of Rebecca Yarros’ books. I really enjoyed this book and it was so much more than the blurb. It had so much depth compared to what I was expecting. I loved the two MCs. This doesn’t have a HEA ending, as it’s part of a duet. It’s a 200 page book, so I read it in a few hours and I can’t wait to start the second book “Boy in Luv”.
