This is more about a mother’s love for her child than a love story and I very much enjoyed that part. Which length a parent would go to, to save their child from harm.
I did figure out a lot of the story before the ending. I figured out her mom was the person from the bar. I also figured out her mom had saved her from the night stalker and that she eventually would have to go back and do the exact same thing.
There is one thing I cannot figure out though and that’s how she dreamt about Alex the first time. That hadn’t happened in any timeline....more

It’s so similar to KMM’s book that I was surprised at how the author was able to get away with this.
I’m not a huge fan of instalust. I didn’t really feel any chemistry between the characters.
I’d recommend KMM’s book instead of this one. ...more

I have to admit I struggled a bit through this one. The story is very fast paced and I felt some things were missing for me to truly enjoy it. Brittney’s stories will pull you in and this one is no different. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Maria and Enzo.

This was my first book by Jacqueline Ferkins and it was a great friends to lovers novel.
Imogene has been dumped seventeen times by her exes, who left her for other people. Imogene is now living in a coastal Oregon town with her mother, whose clairvoyant and predicts a change to come. That change soon appears in the form of her former high school crush, Eliot Swift, who’s back in town for his father’s funeral. He’s now a YouTuber who travels the world and posts videos of his adventures on his channel.
One of the prophecies Imogene’s mother made, when Imogen was young, was that she wouldn’t be first at anything. Imogene has tried and failed repeatedly to prouve this prophecy wrong. With Eliot’s help will she be able to break the curse?
The chemistry between the two main characters is great. The story had good pacing. When we first meet Imogene her self-esteem is at an all time low and it was nice watching her personal growth throughout the book.

This book wasn’t really for me, even though I do like that specific trope. The writing was really good, however I felt like too much information was thrown at the reader and it was hard to keep track. That being said, the author really knows how to write, I look forward to reading her future books.
This book will definitely be a favourite for many.

This book was a hilarious romantic comedy about an author who accidentally sends her editor a fan fiction she wrote about him, instead of her real book. Her book included some very, very steamy scenes. Chase and Brooke were great together, despite how awkward it is for Brooke at times. I loved how sweet and caring Chase was.
I also loved the supporting cast of characters. Chase’s sister Mo and her husband Tony were hilarious. Benji, Brooke’s support dog, is such a wonderful addition in his super hero costumes.
I received a copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

It can be hurt, and damaged, and suffer incredible pain, and despite it all, it can thrive. It can laugh and love and dance and be extraordinarily beautiful.”
I highly recommend this book. It blew me away.
My heart hurts… These characters are so real and make you feel so much. I can’t give more away than the synopsis without giving spoilers. This book is so well written, some lines will stay with you for a long time.
If you haven’t read Fighting Redemption, you should. This reads as a stand-alone but many of the characters from Fighting Redemption are in this book as well.
The two books follow a parallel timeline until 60% of this one. Many moments intersect. Sometimes scenes are told from a different POV you didn’t have in the first book. One part of Fighting Redemption hurts so much more in this book for some reason. It tore my heart to pieces.
I love that this book gave a female POV on what’s it’s like for women in the military. Although it can be downright brutal at times.
“This place takes from you and doesn’t give back. It’s not gentle. It’s not compassionate. It’s war. And the only thing predictable about war is that there will always be war.”
The scenes at the fence between Jamie and Bear were so sweet.
This book is written in dual POVs with some flashbacks to the past, although not as many as the first one. ...more

Ryker is a former marine who was injured in Afghanistan. He is the sweetest cinnamon roll hero. Bryce is a chef who becomes a guardian to her three nieces after her brother and his wife passed away. She’s an uplifting character doing her best to deal with the hand she’s been dealt. Their paths collide in a hilarious grocery store encounter. I loved their chemistry, which was off the charts from the beginning.
The lengths Ryker goes to, to help Bryce and the girls is touching. He’s a great hero. There are many epic moments with the girls.
While this book dealt with serious topics, they were handled perfectly.

I feel like a lot of books now are written darker and grittier, just for angst purposes. That doesn’t work on me. Books like this one do. Those that give you hope in the darkest of times but still pull at all your heartstrings....more

I was hooked from the very first chapter. In true Pippa fashion this book is filled with laughs, fun characters and of course animals. I’d expect nothing less from this author. No one does small town romantic comedies like Pippa does. This book is a bit different from her usual off the charts laugh out loud novels. It’s much deeper, which I really enjoyed.
In this book we meet Maisey Spencer, a divorced former reality TV home improvement star, who moves to a ranch she inherited from her uncle in Hell’s Bells, Wyoming. To say June, Maisey’s teenage daughter, is unhappy by the move is an understatement. Flint Jackson, the cranky hot tenant who’s been running the place since her uncle died? He’s also not ecstatic she’s there and hopes she’ll realize how out of her depth she is and go back to where she came from.
I loved the tension between the two main characters. They had amazing chemistry from the start and their banter was great. It was a nice slowburn.
Flint is a great grumpy hero and Maisey is a strong, fierce heroine who’s done with people who think she’s not good enough. Throw in a town filled with great people, a very bright teenager dealing with a lot and you have an awesome read.
Highly recommended! I hope we get more stories from Hell’s Bells.

I was not expecting this book to “If you stay,” Asher began, “I stay.” He captured her eyes as he held the blade to the blue wire. “A team, remember?”
I was not expecting this book to be like it was. It was so much better than I thought it would be. The blurb really doesn’t cover it.
I didn’t think Asher had this side to him. He was such a sweetheart when it came to Jess. I loved how they connected. The action was much faster paced than book 2, which I also enjoyed.
Great instalment in the series. I would read the bonus scenes from book 2 of the series before this. You can find it on Brittney’s site here: https://brittneysahin.com/bonus-content/
