Maximum combined output?
I recently bought the 57" neo g9. 7900xtx is the video card in the system
My secondary monitor is an old 2008 era 27" Dell ultra sharp.
I want to pickup a replacement for the old Dell but I've got a technical conundrum.
I have high quality cables.
But I can't get the full output capability of the g9 if I'm running the Dell at its full resolution of 1920x1200 and 60hz
If it is at that resolution I am locked out of the 240hz option on the g9 and can only go to 120hz.
If I drop the Dell down to the 16:10 equivalent of 640x480 I can run the g9 at its full capability.
So before I drop 400 on a new ultrasharp which is 2560x1440 120hz I had a few questions for those here with more tech knowledge than me.
Is it a driver limitation?
A hardware limitation due to total output?
Or a hardware limitation because of something to do with hdmi gen1 / display port gen1 not playing well when also connected to a monitor with hdmi 2.1 and dp 2.1?
Thanks all.
