MV Glen Sannox

Hi, I noticed you've reverted my change. The idea behind my change was to try to reduce the length of the infobox, whilst still keeping all relevant info. This method works well in articles where a ship has a number of names / owners (TS Leda, SS Elisabethville etc). The separate sections as currently used are more suited to naval vessels, not merchantmen.

My main use of the ship template has been for Clyde ferries. I feel that they have a distinct career in their original ownership and a separate one once they have been sold off. If there is consensus within WP:SHIPS, I am happy to go with that. Finavon (talk) 11:21, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
By all means ask at WT:SHIPS, I'm fairly sure they'll agree that in these cases compact infoboxes are better. Mjroots (talk) 11:56, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dunglass

Any chance of 2nd opinion on the area of Dunglass Island? Ben MacDui 19:05, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just 40ha on OS 1:50k. Finavon (talk) 11:51, 7 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OK - thanks again. I must review my system as it seems to be exaggerating areas. I did find a source meantime that talks of a "farm of about 100 acres" as well, although it is a passing reference rather than an measurement. Ben MacDui 14:28, 7 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
