Help
[edit]This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
Thank you wiki community for all your help. I am very green and learning. I could use your assistance with posting a new article about a new company which I have placed in my sandbox. I understand that it is extremely difficult so I am seeking your assistance with this article on a brand new company. Blue2berry (talk) 12:13, 11 April 2018 (UTC)
- First, you should read Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). This will explain whether the topic of your draft merits a separate article. If the topic is not notable by these guidelines, you should not try to fight it and instead find an article that is notable to create. Unfortunately, I cannot presently offer more guidance, but I've left the help open so another editor can help you. E to the Pi times i (talk | contribs) 00:13, 12 April 2018 (UTC)
- I have moved the page to Draft:Hitco Entertainment and added a messagebox with a "Submit your draft for a review" button. However, I don't think the company currently meets Wikipedia's standards of notability; it seems too soon to write an encyclopedia article about them. Huon (talk) 01:23, 12 April 2018 (UTC)
Only warning
[edit]Please note that if you continue to comment in deletion discussions in the way that you did alongside Krada123 at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Charles Goldstuck you will be blocked from editing. If you are being paid to comment, you must disclose that this is the case and you should not collaborate with other paid editors in order to sway the community's decisions. Now that you have disclosed, please read the below very carefully:
Hello, Blue2berry. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. Editing for the purpose of advertising or promotion is not permitted. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. SmartSE (talk) 21:09, 27 November 2017 (UTC)

code.

A warning on plagiarism and copying content
[edit]Hi! I am reverting Special:Diff/1090312051 this edit you made, because even though you cited a source, you copied the wording directly (including the external links, which generally should not be included in the body of an article). Please do not copy sources word-for-word, as this still constitutes plagiarism — see the second example at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Avoiding plagiarism. [edit]Hello, I'm Apocheir. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Alexander Hamilton Institute for the Study of Western Civilization seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. In cases like yours where you have a flagrant conflict of interest, it is often better to request changes on the talk page of the article and let uninvolved editors evaluate, as described in Wikipedia:Edit requests. I have sent you a note about a page you started
[edit]Hello, Blue2berry. Thank you for your work on Dev Pragad. 9H48F, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:
Thanks for your contribution to Wikipedia! In my review, I added content from sources about Pragad's ownership and legal issues - I felt it's a little disingenuous not to include that info. There was some information that I was unable to attribute to the sources cited and sounded rather like PR, so that was removed.
To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|9H48F}}
. Please remember to sign your reply with ~~~~

License tagging for File:2-ceo-dev-pragad.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:2-ceo-dev-pragad.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:30, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
I added some more tags to the image and to his BLP.--FeralOink (talk) 12:18, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
File:2-ceo-dev-pragad.jpg listed for discussion
[edit]A file that you uploaded or altered, File:2-ceo-dev-pragad.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for discussion. Please see the discussion to see why it has been listed (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry). Feel free to add your opinion on the matter below the nomination. Thank you. Counterfeit Purses (talk) 02:47, 26 July 2024 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:2-ceo-dev-pragad.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:2-ceo-dev-pragad.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a copyright violation of https://www.newsweek.com/dev-pragad-image-gallery and has no credible claim of fair use or permission. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Whpq (talk) 03:13, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Blue2berry! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 03:15, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
