At the same time, feel free to send an alert to me on this page about a comment you have left elsewhere.

Thank you!

2027 CWC Qualifier

edit

Hey there! You didn't mention why the pages 2027 Cricket World Cup Qualifier and 2027 Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-off were moved to a redirect page again? Thanks! Sneshik (talk) 11:09, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

There too far events and to avoid them being just stubs they can be developed in draftspace. i.e: Draft:2027 Cricket World Cup Qualifier. Vestrian24Bio (TALK) 11:12, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Maybe we can just mark it as a stub page with a stub template. The reason why I created these articles is because there were a lot of redirects when I wanted to know more about 2027 CWC qualification process. I think stub pages are better than redirects. What do you think? Sneshik (talk) 11:23, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
It's just WP:TOOSOON, also there was an afd for this qualifier - Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2026 Cricket World Cup Qualifier. Vestrian24Bio (TALK) 11:28, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:2027 Cricket World Cup stadiums

edit

A tag has been placed on Category:2027 Cricket World Cup stadiums indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 16:56, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Liz Thanks for the notice; the thing is I have a poor connectivity problem due to which my edits are sort of delayed. Otherwise, I am adding the pages to this category. There will be a total of 12 pages here. Vestrian24Bio (TALK) 17:10, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

File:2027 CWC Fanmade Logo.png listed for discussion

edit

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:2027 CWC Fanmade Logo.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for discussion. Please see the discussion to see why it has been listed (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry). Feel free to add your opinion on the matter below the nomination. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 12:06, 10 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

This isn't a fandom site, so "fan made" fake logos are not appropriate encyclopedic content. Please don't make any more of these. Joseph2302 (talk) 06:53, 11 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Joseph2302:
  1. I didn't create/design the image.
  2. I am not the initial uploader.
  3. I didn't name it that way.
It was already in Commons, I just cropped it to the text and added it to the Sidebar, that's all. Vestrian24Bio (TALK) 09:27, 11 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
My apologies, the image history on English Wikipedia implied you had created it. Joseph2302 (talk) 13:09, 11 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

MfD nomination of Wikipedia:WikiProject Women's Premier League (cricket)

edit

Wikipedia:WikiProject Women's Premier League (cricket), a page which you created or substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:WikiProject Women's Premier League (cricket) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Wikipedia:WikiProject Women's Premier League (cricket) during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Joseph2302 (talk) 16:29, 13 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

  • Just to say, this isn't specifically targeted at you or WikiProject WPL. I think merging all the cricket tournament WikiProjects into main cricket project is good idea, and appreciate that you created the WPL because those ones existed, which seemed reasonable at the time. It's been on my to-do list for a few years to try and merge them all back in, because some other editors on some of the other WikiProjects have been a pain on cricket articles in the past, and so having it centralised should make things better. Someone showed me the procedure for the merge a month or two ago, which is why I'm suggesting it now. Joseph2302 (talk) 17:10, 13 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Your recent editing history at 2027 Cricket World Cup shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Accusations of vandalism

edit

In this edit, Sxnxtxn added what appear to be two Indic-script versions of "2023 Asia Cup" to the article 2023 Asia Cup. They did so without an edit summary: poor practice, but very common practice. If the addition is what I think, then it contravenes WP:NOINDICSCRIPT. In your reversion of the edit you call it vandalism. This surprises me, because it doesn't look like my idea of vandalism. But of course my idea of vandalism is of little importance. What matters is Wikipedia's idea of vandalism. Please read that page, carefully.

Please do not accuse other editors of vandalism when what they've done isn't defined by Wikipedia as vandalism.

If I seem to have misunderstood something, please feel free to correct me. -- Hoary (talk) 02:47, 17 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Revert

edit

The reason for the removal is already mentioned. The sources from production companies are not considered reliable and removed other unreliable source. Charliehdb (talk) 14:59, 19 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Who says they are not reliable? Vestrian24Bio (TALK) 15:01, 19 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
See WP:PRIMARY. Charliehdb (talk) 15:05, 19 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
It says this: A primary source may be used on Wikipedia only to make straightforward, descriptive statements of facts that can be verified by any educated person with access to the primary source but without further, specialized knowledge. Vestrian24Bio (TALK) 15:09, 19 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
