【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、例えば自動車用インナーミラー装置であって、カメラ装置でキャッチされた車両の周辺の情報をカメラ映像として画面に写し出すモニター装置が内蔵されており、そのモニター装置の画面のカメラ映像がミラー内に写し出されるモニター装置内蔵の車両用ミラーに係り、特にモニター装置の画面とその他のミラー面との境界線が不明瞭であって、視認性が良好なモニター装置内蔵の車両用ミラーに関するものである。

【従来の技術】
例えば自動車用インナーミラー装置であって、モニター装置内蔵の車両用ミラーは、図5に示すように、一般に、モニター装置7がオン状態の時、ミラー200内において、カメラ装置でキャッチされた車両の周辺の情報がカメラ映像としてモニター装置7の画面70に写し出され、かつ、このモニター装置7の画面70以外のミラー200面に後方の視界像が写し出されている。また、モニター装置7がオフ状態の時、ミラー200面全面に後方の視界像が写し出されているものである。

上述のミラー200は、図5に示すように、透明な材質、例えば透明ガラスや透明樹脂等からなるミラー基板300と、そのミラー基板300の裏面に設けられた例えばアルミ蒸着等の反射膜400、401(図面中、厚く図示されている)とから構成されている。上述の反射膜のうち、前記モニター装置7の画面70に対応する部分401を、所謂ハーフミラー(半反射半透過鏡)とする。すなわち、この部分401の膜厚を、他の部分400の膜厚よりも薄くする。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところが、上述の従来のモニター装置内蔵の車両用ミラーは、前記反射膜において、ハーフミラー部分401の膜厚が他の部分400の膜厚よりも薄いので、ハーフミラー部分401の反射率と他の部分400の反射率とが大きく異なる。このために、特に、モニター装置7がオフ状態時に、モニター装置7の画面70(ハーフミラー部分401)とその他のミラー200面(他の部分400)との境界線が明瞭に現われて良好な視認性が得られない等の課題がある。

本発明の目的は、モニター装置の画面とその他のミラー面との境界線が不明瞭であって、視認性が良好なモニター装置内蔵の車両用ミラーを提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、上記の目的を達成するために、ミラー基板の裏面に反射膜が設けられており、その反射膜の裏面の一部を除いた部分に有色塗膜が塗付されており、かつ、その反射膜の裏面の有色塗膜が塗付されていない一部に透明塗膜又は半透明塗膜が塗付されており、その有色塗膜、並びに透明塗膜又は半透明塗膜の何れか一方の裏面にモニター装置が配置されており、モニター装置がオフ状態の時有色塗膜とほぼ同色をなすモニター装置の画面が透明塗膜又は半透明塗膜の何れか一方に対向している、ことを特徴とする。

この結果、本発明のモニター装置内蔵の車両用ミラーは、モニター装置がオフ状態の時、有色塗膜とモニター装置の画面とがほぼ同色をなすので、モニター装置の画面とその他のミラー面との境界線が不明瞭となって、良好な視認性が得られることとなる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明のモニター装置内蔵の車両用ミラーの実施形態のうちの2例を図1乃至図4を参照して説明する。
図1乃至図3は、本発明のモニター装置内蔵の車両用ミラーの第1実施形態を示す。この例は自動車用インナーミラー装置について説明する。図中、図5と同符号は同一のものを示す。

図において、1はミラーハウジングである。このミラーハウジング1の開口部10には、所謂ハーフミラー(半反射半透過鏡)のミラー2が配置されている。

このミラー2は、図1に示すように、透明な材質、例えば透明ガラスや透明樹脂等からなるミラー基板3と、そのミラー基板3の裏面に設けられた多層膜の反射膜4と、その反射膜4の裏面の一部を除いた部分に塗付してなる有色塗膜5と、その反射膜4の裏面の有色塗膜5を塗付していない一部に塗付してなる透明塗膜6とから構成されている。なお、上述の反射膜4、有色塗膜5、透明塗膜6は、図面中、厚く図示されている。

前記多層膜の反射膜4は、真空中において、TiO2 (高屈折率の反射層)41、43とSiO2 (低屈折率の反射層)42、44とを、400〜500nmの中心波長で、光学的膜厚λ/4にて、交互に4層積層してなる多層膜をスパッタリング法や真空蒸着法等により形成してなるものである。

また、前記有色塗膜5及び透明塗膜6は、大気中において、まず、前記反射膜4の裏面のうち、後述するモニター装置7の画面70が位置する箇所にマスク(図示せず)をセットし、次に、そのマスクの上から前記反射面4の裏面に例えばつや消しの有色(黒色)の塗料を塗付してつや消しの有色(黒色)の塗膜5を形成し、それから、マスクを反射膜4の裏面から外し、その有色塗膜5のうち少なくともマスクを外した後の空間部(有色塗膜5の未塗装部分)50にクリアコートを塗装して透明塗膜6を形成し、そして、乾燥炉で有色塗膜5及び透明塗膜6を乾燥してなるものである。
なお、この透明塗膜6は、有色塗膜5と同種の溶剤系からなり、又は及び、多層膜の反射膜4の第4層のSiO2 (低屈折率の反射層)44とほぼ同屈折率をなす物質からなるものが好ましい。

上述のミラー2の有色塗膜5及び透明塗膜6の裏面にはモニター装置7が配置されており、かつ、そのモニター装置7の画面70が透明塗膜6に対向されている。そして、このモニター装置7の画面70は、モニター装置7がオフ状態の時有色塗膜5とほぼ同色(黒色)をなすものである。なお、このモニター装置7としては、液晶式のものが好ましい。また、このモニター装置7の画面70は、透明塗膜6とほぼ同一形状若しくは透明塗膜6よりも1回り大きい形状をなす。

この実施の形態における本発明のモニター装置内蔵の車両用ミラーは、以上の如き構成からなるので、モニター装置7がオン状態の時、ミラー2内において、カメラ装置(図示せず)でキャッチされた車両の周辺の情報がカメラ映像としてモニター装置7の画面70に写し出される。すなわち、ミラー2はハーフミラーであるから、モニター装置7の画面70のカメラ映像は、ミラー2を半透過して視認できる。この時、モニター装置7の画面70以外のミラー2面には後方の視界像が写し出されることとなる。すなわち、ミラー2はハーフミラーであるから、所定の反射率で後方の視界像が写し出される。
また、モニター装置7がオフ状態の時、ミラー2面全面に後方の視界像が写し出されることとなる。この時、有色塗膜5とモニター装置7の画面70とがほぼ同色(黒色)をなすので、モニター装置7の画面70とその他のミラー2面との境界線8(図2中破線にて示す)が不明瞭となって、良好な視認性が得られることとなる。なお、この有色塗膜5の色とモニター装置7のオフ状態の画面70の色とが反射色として得られる。

特に、この実施形態においては、有色塗膜5と透明塗膜6とが同種の溶剤系からなり、又は及び、多層膜の反射膜4の第4層のSiO2 (低屈折率の反射層)44と透明塗膜6とがほぼ同屈折率をなす物質からなるので、上述のモニター装置7の画面70とその他のミラー2面との境界線8がさらに不明瞭となって、さらに良好な視認性が得られることとなる。

また、本発明のモニター装置内蔵の車両用ミラーは、TiO2 (高屈折率の反射層)41、43、とSiO2 (低屈折率の反射層)42、44とを交互に4層積層してなる多層膜の反射膜4を使用し(多層膜の光の干渉作用を利用し)たものであるから、青色の反射光(所謂、ブルーミラー)が得られ、また、50〜60%の反射率が得られるので、車両用ミラーの規格(38%)を満足でき、さらに、後続車のヘッドランプの光に対する防眩効果が得られる。なお、上述の、多層膜の反射膜4を調整することにより、ブロンズの反射光やグリーンブルーの反射光等が得られ、また、所定の反射率が得られる。

上述の透明塗膜6は、半透明塗膜(所謂スモーク)であっても良い。このスモーク塗膜(塗装)は、上述の透明塗膜6とほぼ同様の作用効果を達成することができる。

また、上述の透明塗膜又は半透明塗膜の何れか一方6中に防曇材を含有する場合、すなわち、この透明塗膜又は半透明塗膜の何れか一方6として、防曇材が添加された塗料を使用する場合がある。この場合、モニター装置7の画面70の曇が防止されるので、モニター画像の視認性が向上される。
防曇材としては、水分を吸収するもの、光触媒性の酸化チタン粒子(特開平9−56549号公報、特開平9−226531号公報、特開平9−228326号公報、特開平9−230118号公報、特開平9−230119号公報、特開平9−230810号公報、特開平9−231807号公報参照)等がある。

さらに、前記有色塗膜5並びに前記透明塗膜又は半透明塗膜の何れか一方6を、スクリーン印刷により形成する場合がある。この場合、ミラー2面への塗料の回り込みやシンナーの飛散がないので、製造工程上得策である。しかも、マスクの見切が明確である。なお、このスクリーン印刷の場合、ミラー2面にスクリーンの網目模様が現われる。

図4は、本発明のモニター装置内蔵の車両用ミラーの第2実施形態を示す。この例は自動車用インナーミラー装置について説明する。図中、図1乃至図3及び図5と同符号は同一のものを示す。

この第2実施形態の本発明のモニター装置内蔵の車両用ミラーは、透明塗膜又は半透明塗膜の何れか一方6の裏面に、光触媒の酸化チタンTiO2 60をコートしたものである。この第2実施形態のものは、光触媒の酸化チタンTiO2 60がモニター装置7の画面70からの光により、親水性作用、セルフクリーニング作用をなすので、モニター装置7の画面70の曇が防止され、モニター画像の視認性が向上される。

なお、上述の実施形態において、モニター装置7の画面70は、モニター装置7の前面の全面に亘っても良い。また、モニター装置7の画面70と、有色塗膜5並びに透明塗膜又は半透明塗膜の何れか一方6との間に隙間を開けても良い。さらに、反射膜は多層膜ではなく、単層膜であっても良い。

【発明の効果】
以上から明らかなように、本発明のモニター装置内蔵の車両用ミラーは、モニター装置がオフ状態の時、有色塗膜とモニター装置の画面とがほぼ同色をなすので、モニター装置の画面とその他のミラー面との境界線が不明瞭となって、良好な視認性が得られることとなる。
