This perfectly sums up my experience reading this beautiful work of art. TJ Klune was not joking when he said he was going to make us all cry. Heartsong might possibly be my favorite of the series.
We get Robbie’s story and I truly had no idea what to expect, but it was better than I could have ever imagined and I had such a hard time putting it down. It’s a story of love and loss, and finding your way back home. It was soo heart breaking and beautiful to follow along Robbie and Kelly’s story of finding each other once again, and I ate every bit of it up.
I absolutely loved the way the reader is dropped into the middle of the story and immediately putting together puzzle pieces and I actually gasped when I realized what was happening. The writing is incredible and the story is so well paced.
I laughed, I cried, and I felt all of the emotions!! The characters in this series and hands down some of my favorites ever. They are so incredibly developed and heartwarming. I absolutely cannot wait to read Brothersong!

Chloe & Warren's story is so incredibly cute and heartwarming!!
The plot line for this book actually felt like such a unique spin on the forced proximity & grumpy x sunshine tropes. The tension is almost immediate and the banter is just soo good. There were definitely a few parts that felt a bit too cheesy for me, but I loved everything else so much that I forgave it.
Chloe and Warren work through a lot of past trauma together that ends up bringing them ever closer in a short amount of time. I loved the way that Luke was written. HBY did such an incredible job wt. his character and Deaf representation, from signing to physical touch for acknowledgment. The story just felt so genuine and relatable.
Hannah Bonam-Young has become an no-brainer auto buy author for me after I fell head over heels for Out On A Limb, and I am really looking forward to jumping into the next book in this series.

The world building was absolutely chef’s kiss, and the setting felt so one of a kinds and immersive. Each character was so incredibly thought out with distinct personalities and I had so much fun reading about them.
The way that the story is actually narrated by Hoid was actually my favorite part. The humor and wittiness was top tier and kept the story engaging. I loved not fully knowing/understanding who Hoid was until all the puzzle pieces fit together in the end. While reading it felt very Ella Enchanted to me, but in the postscript we learn that Sanderson modeled it after The Princess Bride which makes so much sense.
Tress was such an incredible and fun MC, and I would follow her into the Midnight Sea any day. The perfect cozy YA fantasy, with an adult fairytale vibe....more

I enjoyed The Cruel Price, but it definitely felt like it's goal was to set up the story for the rest of the series, so it didnt blow me away. The Wicked King on the other hand shook me.
I quickly became obsessed with Jude & Cardan and their ever so slooooww burn tension. We learn so much more about both characters in book 2 that really helps to develop them and provide the needed back story to fully understand their decisions and motives.
This book is full of all the political scheming and tricks that I love so much. I truly gave me a bit of whiplash in the best way as I was trying to figure out who to trust and what to believe. Holly Black does an incredible job of portraying how strong of an influence power can have and how easily the balance can shift.
I can honestly say that I never saw the ending coming, and I actually gasped! I am equally excited and scared to jump into the next book, but I MUST know how it ends!

The flirty banter between Pae & Kai reminded me sooo much of Kat & Patrick from 10 Things I Hate About You and I was obsessed.
Yes, there are trials that very much have a Hunger Games vibe.. but I’ve read and loved plenty of books with the trials trope and this one was no different. This story truly focuses on the slow burn, enemies/rivals to lovers romance with a dual POV that was chef’s kiss!

I had so many questions as to what was truly going on but it felt lik that was the point. Alex Aster takes you on a ride in Nightbane and has you constantly asking questions and theorizing.
Isla's character was a bit frustrating at times, because she still fwelt very niave and refused to see what was right in front of her sometimes, but I do think she experienced a lot more gorwth in Nightbane than in Lightlark.
The love triangle aspect of this series is done sooo incredibly well. My heart was flip flopping all over the place for Grim & Oro. I was constantly questioning their motivs and who was telling the truth. I was truly at the edge of my seat.
The ending of this book had me gooped & gagged! I'm still thinking about it actually, and I need book 3 immidiately!...more

The world building was unique and fun while also being relatively easy to understand. I loved the curses aspect and found the different relms and ruler's powers to be so entertaining.
I theorized the big plot twist early on, but it was such a delusional thought based purely on gut instinct and zero evidence that when I got to the end I was screming in shock that I was right. My "Big Brain" moment for sure! What Alex does great in her writing is keep you guessing, however, the questioning internal dialogue was a little repeative and too obvious at times in my opinion.
The slow burn tension in this book had me giggling, and I was so suprised that I actually enjoyed the love triangle trope tied in with an actual enemies to lovers plot line. This book left me wanting more so I will be starting Nighbane ASAP....more

This is very much a YA fantasy that takes place in a faerie world with lots of court politics, and book one definitely felt world building heavy with lots of setup for the rest of the series.
Jude definitely gives off badass FMC vibes because she’s been through it, but she’s quite reckless and a little immature at times. The Enemies to Lovers trope is playing the loooooong game with Jude & Cardan giving major “I hate that I love you” vibes.
I thoroughly enjoyed the scheme of and plot twist ending, and am looking forward to where the series goes from here!

HD Carlton's writing was incredible, and I was truly on edge the entire time. I really enjoyed the various side storylines providing a "who done it?" feel. I don't know that i will ever fully understand how Zade has this god complex to save people while also inflicting similar fears in Addie, but I am definitely along for the ride.

TJ Klune and his beautifully unique writing mixed with ever so lovable characters never ceases to amaze me! Going into this one, think Pinocchio retelling but make it cozy sci-fi with a whimsical Wizard of Oz spin. This story centers around found family, humanity, love, and the lengths you'll go to fight for the ones you care about. Oh and I can't forget to mention the wittiest banter that literally had me giggling every chapter.
Victor, Rambo, Nurse Ratched, & HAP took me on the best little adventure, and had me feeling every emotion along the way. I literally want to put Rambo in my pocket and keep him forever. Give me a swoon worth MMC and a forced proximity, fake dating, slow burn romance all day everyday.Everything about Daphne and Miles' story was so loveable. It was witty and clever, while also being a bit messy. I laughed and cired, and quite literally could not stop giggling.
The characters were so incredibly relatable. Our main characters are all in their mid 30's which was such a breath of fresh air! I felt Daphne's struggle with social interaction around strangers and meeting new people to my core. The overall growth and healing between each character was so refreshing. This story explores topics of finding oneself, working through abadonment issues, and self love.
Just go ahead and proactively add Miles Nowak to your list of Book Boyfriends because he will infact steal your heart! This man had me blushing everytime he was even mentioned on the page. He is so incredibly easy going with the best sense of humor and the biggest charmer around. But ultimately he cares BIG!
As always, Emily Henry never disapoints when it comes to the banter and chemitry between her characters.

I'm not typically a fan of a love triangle trope, but TJR knew exactly what she was doing with Emma, Jesse, & Sam's story. I felt as though I was experiencing all of Emma's conflicting emotions right there with here, and although I was 90% sure that I knew how it would end, I still enjoyed how we got there. The ending was pretty perfect in my book, I just wished there was a little bit more exploration of each relationship.

R.F. Kaung did an incredible job creating an MC that is actually the worst, but yet still felt likable somehow. I legit had the inner struggle of hating the MC, but also sort of rooting for her. It was incredible and a very close 5 star read for me. Once I finished I had to take some time to process my thoughts and just fully take in all the world building.
Going into this book there was so much hype and hope for certain things to play out, but I really had no idea what to actually expect. In the end it left me feeling both thoroughly surprised and utterly satisfied with my speculations that came to be. I thought that the writing was incredible, and even though there was quite a bit of info dumping it felt necessary for the story and left me with an open mouth gasp each time. I'm not kidding when I say that I highlighted and annotated whole chapters... I truly felt like there was never a dull moment throughout the over 800 pages, and often found it hard to get to a stopping point to take a break from reading because each chapter ended in its own mini cliffhanger.
I loved the plot and the beautiful merging of so many worlds. It allowed the reader to speculate and theorize the entire time. I will say, to get the best experience reading this book you definitely need to read all of TOG & the first five books of ACOTAR first. The TOG references in this book were everything I could ever want, and had me screaming, crying, and freaking out.
As the reader you get to dive into each character more so in this book and truly experience the story from their POV. At times this felt frustrating when a character wasn't making the best of decisions, but I ultimately it gave me a better grasp of what was going on in their head. The ending felt like such a series ending, which I did not expect but it still felt so satisfying. I don't think we will get a fourth CC book for quite some time, but SJM set the world up for so many possibilities and I'm excited to see where she takes it next. -- Also, the bonus chapters were EVERYTHING!
