Basic information
editThe Indonesian "stub"-related vandal refers to an IP user, or multiple users, from Indonesia that have persistently disrupted the English Wikipedia because the edits seem to be innocent or test-like, and most of the time they are ignored by recent patrollers.
Targeted areas, pages, themes
editNothing definitive, but mainly TV networks,[1] telecommunications,[2] languages,[3] Wikimedia-related articles,[4] years,[5] territories,[6] asteroids,[7] passports,[8] navigation boxes[9] and stub-related templates.[10]
Habitual behavior
editThe user (or users)[A] started in January 2021. Mainly, the user adds nonsensical templates or statements to pages. In some cases, the tagged article cannot be considered as a "stub"; in others, the stub is unrelated to what they claim it is. The edits can be the combination of either:
- Adds already-existing stub templates.[11][12][13]
- Adds the template code of inexistent stub templates.[14][15][16]
- Or the combination of both.[17]
- Adds the template {{last edited by}}.[18][19][20]
- Adds the template {{distinguish}}.[21][22][23]
- Vandalizes template pages.[24][25][26]
- References to "nursery rhyme".[27][28][29]
- Harasses editors.[30][31][32][33]
- Nominates pages for speedy deletion, and then proceeds to request the page to not be deleted.[34][35] / [36][37]
